We arrived before the game and were able to request the tv we wanted it on. Very helpful service from all. Erin took good care of us.
I got the Herbie pizza (Pepp, sausage and spicy cheese) and the boy got the boneless wings. I thought the QC style pizza was great. The connoisseur of boneless wings gave his approval though thought the cost was steep compared to other places.
The atmosphere was enjoyable. It’s like stepping back into the 80s with the decor and the rock music was spot on with that. Tons of TVs!!
Will defined be back when in town!
We had a house salad. Pretty good portion size . I shared it with my son .
The wings had a good flavor but were definitely mushy . No crispness at all .
The pizza took well over an over to get but it was actually really good . I had the chicken bacon ranch. Whole pieces of bacon across it and nice size chunks of chicken .
The manager comped our drinks . Definitely appreciated but not necessary. Our experience was probably a bad night and the food is good enough that I would give it another shot if in the area
Oh my god…this was not the time to stop by Sports Fans. I don’t think I’d seen this place as full as this any other time I’d visit. Literally every table was full and there were no seats at the bar. And the place was LOUD. Fortunately, two people got up from the bar and I was able to get a seat within 5 minutes of entering.
There’s not much to say about the decor or furniture of the space. It is filled with televisions all throughout the dining area, all playing sports of some type. I was mostly looking at stuff on my phone and occasionally looking up at the TVs and I swear one of them changed games four times. I swear, it started with hockey, turned to basketball, then to wrestling…I wasn’t here for more than an hour, either…
At any rate, I opted to get a single sized pizza (about 9″ in diameter) with pepperoni and sausage. Even though Sports Fans was busy, I still got my pizza in 30 minutes and the bartender refilled my soda multiple times as it got low. I had either forgotten or didn’t realize that the pizza here is made to Quad Cities style. You know, the crust with the malty flavor, cut in strips, with sauce that’s got red pepper flake and cayenne pepper, and crumbly, greasy sausage? Yeah, that pizza…I’m not normally a fan, but this Quad Cities pizza I enjoyed. I would still not get sausage on one of these pizzas in the future. WAAAAY too much grease – soggies up the crust something fierce.
I’d come back to Sports Fans, just not during peak hours. It was a bit loud for me. I enjoyed the space and the pizza I had on my last trip. Thanks Sports Fans!
