At first glance, the Chili’s ribeye makes a strong visual case: seared with decent color, nestled next to a loaded scoop of mashed potatoes and a heap of steamed broccoli that, surprisingly, steals the show. Yes, the broccoli—lightly seasoned, tender, and melt-in-your-mouth good—is the unlikely star of the plate. It’s the kind of side dish that makes you pause and say, “Wait, this is Chili’s?”
The mashed potatoes, generously topped with cheddar, chives, and bacon bits, promise indulgence but deliver something more muted. They’re not bad. They’re… fine. Like a polite conversation with a stranger on a plane—pleasant, but nothing you’d recall the next day.
Then there’s the ribeye. Ordered medium, it arrives exactly that—pink-centered, warm, and juicy enough to check the technical boxes. But here’s the thing: it eats like a steak without a story. No real crust, no deep beefy resonance, no butter-basted magic. You find yourself chewing, but not chasing the next bite. It’s the kind of steak that makes you check your phone halfway through—not out of boredom, but because you’re no longer in a relationship with your plate.
Service? Solid. Sat at the bar, drink came quick, staff was on it. No complaints there. But as a whole, the meal hits a familiar Chili’s note: dependable, a little corporate, and just interesting enough to keep you from regretting the visit—but not quite enough to remember it a week later.

A steak cooked right, but not cooked memorably. The broccoli walked so the ribeye could stand still.
Starting with the food, it was to put plainly, terrible. My wife got the surf and turf which is broccoli, steak, and shrimp. She asked for the steak as a medium but it came out as rare. If it could moo it would have it was so raw on the inside. The broccoli was supposed to be steamed but was raw, and the shrimp was over seasoned. I got the smokehouse combo pick 2 with the crispy chicken crisper and chicken bacon ranch quesadilla. The crispy chicken was extremely dry, the quesadilla shell was burnt, and the fries that came with cold when we got the food.
Sitting behind us was a family with their kid bouncing up and down the whole time and as the seat was back to back it ended up bouncing my seat as well. It caused my stomach to heave several times.
The server….
To put it bluntly, overly friendly. When looking at the menu they started by coming and talking quite a bit and then stood at the table was telling us to look at the menu. When they did leave they came back with my wife’s drink and during that time she had bitten into her food and the server put her tablet down and told her to do it again since she missed my wife taking a bite of the appetizer. When the entrees were brought out she told my wife to cut into her steak and take a bite and refused to leave. It went from uncomfortable to inappropriate and we just wanted to leave.
The seat that I was sitting in was extremely dirty with crumbs all over it and on the floor was spilt ranch which caused me to slip when sitting down.
After leaving because my wife had taken a bite of steak to appease the waiter she immediately started to vomit out of the car.
The total was over $100 for the two of us and what I want to say to end this is to save your money and go elsewhere, there are places much cheaper, have better food, and much better service. It is not worth it to come here.
And lets not forget this incredible rice and black beans! Yeah, I took half to go and nom nom on it after hours… that good!
The chili queso was hot, rich, and packed with flavor, with just the right balance of creamy cheese and savory chili. Perfectly seasoned, not greasy, and absolutely addictive. Every scoop with the chips hit the spot and set the tone for a great meal.
Beyond the food, the overall experience was excellent. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, making it an easy place to kick back and enjoy yourself. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything came out hot and fresh without long waits.
Chili’s is one of those reliable go-to spots where you know you’re going to get solid food, good portions, and a comfortable environment. Whether you’re grabbing appetizers, meeting friends, or just in the mood for classic American flavors, it delivers every time.
If you’re stopping by Chili’s, do yourself a favor and order the chili queso—it’s a must. I’ll absolutely be back for it again. Highly recommend! ️
