Did dinner at Seastar for Valentines Day. I made a reservation and they made it special by providing a rose and having fresh flowers at the table. The oysters were amazing and the jambalaya was tasty. The spicy sushi bites are a must off of the appetizer list. They also have a great wine listed with plenty of beers on draft and a long list of speciality cocktails. I also recommend getting the bread basket. I will say that the Mahi Mahi fish entree was just okay and the jambalaya was good but not the best I’ve ever had. I would recommend giving the sushi a try which we didn’t get a chance to do.

Absolutely delicious food. Most of my party ordered from the 3 course menu and the items did not disappoint. We went in to celebrate my mom’s birthday and they brought out her dessert with a candle. Server was super nice too and provided a great service. Their panna cotta, mashed potatoes, and sole were a table favorite. The raw bar sampler platter from the 3 course menu was also a favorite for the fish lovers. Their creme brulee is also creamy and not overly sweet. It’s nice that since the parking lot is connected to the building, when it’s raining you never have to step outside.

The food is pretty good but doesn’t have the wow factor that a fine dining experience should. Feels like you could get the dishes that are served here at a fraction of the price elsewhere.
We had the sea bass and the seafood tower.
The worst part of this restaurant is the mandatory 20% service charge – if it’s a mandatory charge, why not just make the menu prices reflect the actual price?
There’s no other service industry that does this – whether it’s my tailor, my hairstylist, or my internet provider, or any other service I use. You just can’t advertise one price and then have the actual price be 20% higher (actually 30% when you factor in sales tax).

Went here for a work dinner. Friendly staff and good food. They are an expensive seafood place and I rarely find the prices justified unless I’m extremely wowed by the taste.
The beet/quinoa salad was good but the beets tasted somewhat off.
Their other veggies and the entree were good. I mainly liked their chocolate truffle dessert. The truffles are quite large and very dense. I recommend sharing them with people!

We enjoyed Valentine’s Day at Seastar. This was our first time eating here and it was lovely. The restaurant is completely separate from the bar so there are two different atmospheres to choose from. Both sections have lots of windows with views of downtown Bellevue. The service was superb. The server arrives at every moment exactly when you need them. Nothing is forgotten, no mistakes are made. There’s a separate water person that just stands in the shadows until you need your water topped up. You are never low on water. This is a big deal for my husband who drinks so much water at restaurants. The food: THE FOOD IS SPECTACULAR. We had california rolls, peppered ahi, crispy shrimp rolls, pear bleu cheese salad and dessert. Everything was so delicious. My husband ordered whiskey and the drink pours are generous. I ordered coffee and recieved my own coffee press pot. The restaurant has a very classy white table cloth atmosphere and the bar has a much more lively atmosphere (lots of chatter noise). I highly reccommend this place for casual or dress up, dates, birthdays, anniversaries, parties…etc. We will be back for sure. Thank you for an awesome Valentine’s Day dinner!

I’m a regular at Seastar and usually dine both at the bar and dinning area. This time around the dining area lacked the vibe. Not sure if it was due to the new servers but it felt like a transactional dining experience. What happen to the old crew ?Friday they need the OG bartender Greg working! Cocktails were not the same without him. Female manager walked around like she was having a really bad day, no smile, sommelier helping with wine was ok not much of a cheery personality, Gretchen our server was nice, she took care of food allergies. Thankfully food quality is the same. King salmon medium well with asparagus and mash was yummy. Enough flavors not over powering. Ahi Tuna and salmon rolls were good, quantity was the right amount. Tuna bites never disappoint. Wish they brought back their Ahi tuna burger on their menu. Overall food experience was great. I do miss the old friendliness vibe that Seastar was known for.

Raffael is the greatest server ever! The atmosphere and staff were great. The dishes I had were a little on the sweet side. It was weird for me to have a sweet crab bisque. I wouldn’t say the food was bad, just not to my taste. The lobster roll had a crap ton of lobster on it. I don’t feel like the bread did the lobster justice. Drinks were wonderful, fries were delicious. Oysters were good. Good experience. I’d say give it a try. See if it is your taste.

It’s a nice and upscale restaurant with friendly staff and service. We stopped there for dinner after our bubble planet experience. Food was delicious and decent amount. I only give 4 ⭐️because my son and his dad both said their stomach was a little unsettled after the raw oyster , but I was fine with everything. Definitely will go back for special occasions as the food is not cheap.

Sea Star in Bellevue is a true gem! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a modern yet relaxed feel that makes it perfect for both a casual evening out or a special occasion. The staff is consistently attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, which really enhances the whole dining experience.
The menu is outstanding—fresh, high-quality ingredients prepared with creativity and care. The seafood is always impeccably fresh, and the dishes are beautifully presented. Favorites like their perfectly grilled fish and inventive appetizers showcase just how much thought goes into every plate. The wine list and cocktail selection are also top-notch, with excellent pairings available for every dish.
What really stands out about Sea Star is the consistency—you can count on an excellent meal and great service every time. It’s clear that the team here takes pride in what they do, and it shows in every detail.
