Ordered French fries and a croissant sandwich and it is “typically served with tomato, lettuce and mayo” which I had non on my sandwich, “typically”? More like never and the worst food I’ve ever eaten. Fries came to me as home fries WITH NO SEASONING. Flavorless and dry. I wanted to kill myself after eating this.

3/31/24 Update. This diner has changed names and is now the Sunrise Diner. Much better experience this time around. Fast, friendly, service, good food and portion sizes. The cream of crab soup was full of crab meat and some of the best we’ve ever had. Our server Beth was phenomenal.

We lucked out and got to this place at a time when they were not all that busy. We were seated immediately, and our friendly server Beth arrived quickly to take our drink orders. Brewing of a fresh pot of coffee ensued. Our main problem with the menu was too many choices that looked good. Once we made our decision and ordered, the food arrived promptly and was exactly as requested. We had not been here before, but will probably be back to eat here again.
Subsequent visits were okay, until they changed hands. Our first visit after that was a real disappointment, but we decided to give them one more chance. I ordered sausage and eggs, and when she asked me links or patties I elected to get patties. The food we ordered seemed to take a long time to arrive, and my guess is that it was done and sitting under heat lamps, as we were both warned for about the plates being hot. And mine arrived with a couple of sausage links, which were so tough I couldn’t cut them with a fork. And when I did resort to using a knife, the bite that I got was too tough for me to eat.
I also strongly dislike square plates!
We won’t be back.

Went for breakfast, the server was friendly and attentive.
The food however was not impressive, I love cream chipped beef but I’m not sure what the tasteless paste was that I received. And while waiting for my food I watched several roaches crawl around on the bus cart. I will not be going back.

The reason I gave this 4 stars and not 2 is because I have had better experiences in the past. I had a friend in the hospital last year and this diner was on the way. After my first experience, I went there almost everyday, as long as she was in the hospital, because breakfast was a BARGAIN. Coffee is good too. Staff is very pleasant. This time I went there prices are about DOUBLED. I wasn’t too surprised there was a price increase as I didn’t know how they made any money at the prior prices. BUT I didn’t expect a simple waffle with nothing with it to be $10. I asked for coffee, 2 eggs over-medium that came with toast and home fries, and a waffle (I had a craving). The eggs came over-easy and the waffle wasn’t cooked on the inside. I let the waitress know, and showed her, but when she asked if I wanted a replacement, I looked at my watch and turned it down. I went to the cashier (seemed like an owner) he asked if everything was ok, when I hesitated to answer trying to think of a way to let him know of my dissatisfaction, he had already filled in the air space with “all good? Good”. I said, no not good; the waffle wasn’t cooked on the inside and I asked for over-medium eggs but got over -easy.” He apologized and took my $16+.

My husband and I hadn’t been since our honeymoon and were excited to bring my in-laws for their fiftieth anniversary. Our whole family, kids included, loved our meals. The food was hot and fresh. The drinks were cold and consistently refilled. The service was top notch and the view was beautiful.

We went for the breakfast buffet. Everything on the buffet was either almost empty or cold. The only thing that was reasonably warm was the grits, which had lumps. I would not recommend the breakfast buffet ever. The only thing that was hot was the coffee and hot tea.

Ordered food to go on Thanksgiving. It was delicious. The amount of food was enough for dinner and breakfast the next day. The pie was very tasty cherry. The service was very friendly and greeted me as soon as I walked in.

We saw this place when we came from a restaurant nearby. And I told my husband we better have our supper here the next day and we did. I was able to try the famous scrapple which my friend was bragging about and it was so good especially with a syrup. Their food are so fresh and delicious. I love the spinach soup, it was so creamy and tasty. I had Shrimp & Scallop Alfredo and my husband ordered Lasagna and we enjoyed it so much.
The people in the diner are friendly too.
