I’m a truck driver that has been coming to the truck stop connected to Scotty’s Restaurant but tonight was the first time I actually had time to try out this restaurant. During the day especially on the weekends if the weather is good, this place often gets pretty busy. Luckily for me there was a snow storm today and the restaurant was not busy so there was no long wait for a table and the food came out pretty quickly. The reason I gave 5 stars is because looks can be deceiving. Yeah the place looks a little old school and probably hasn’t been renovated in a while but to me the food and the value of what you get for the money here deserves 5 stars to me. I ordered the fried haddock special which came with 2 sides of your choice and either soup or salad. The piece of fish looked huge to me and the fried batter was flavorful and crispy. I’ll be back again for sure! PS. As promised, I returned the next morning for breakfast. Waitress went out of her way to make me ice coffee even though they don’t usually offer it. Home fries were not what I expected. I think maybe they deep fry the potato cubes first because the outside of them were pretty much more like French fry cubes than home fries. Other than that breakfast was fine and this place is starting to grow on me. I like being around the locals since I just moved to the area.

Came here to eat with my family and I was craving fried pickle chips. Keep in mind they are $12 as an appetizer. The appetizer came and there were 13 pieces of sliced pickle fried and grease with a bowl of ranch that came with it. They were not good, made me feel nauseous. Not sure if paying one dollar per piece of pickle made me nauseous or the deep-fried grease. Highly recommend not coming to this place. The only cool part was the old room in the back that looked like 10,000 truckers had smoked in it.

We both ordered the specials — generous portions at a great price. Simple, hearty food served with no fuss, just the way it should be. One of the few remaining spots that still carries that true truck-stop charm. A perfect place for a quick, satisfying stop on the road.

I’m up from florida, had the beef stroganoff. It came out cold. Got the lemon pie to go. It was rubbery. Pie shouldn’t be rubbery. Overall very bad experience

Always good. Been eating here about 40 years, and never had a bad meal. They serve truckstop staples, things like liver and onions with bacon, hot open faced sandwiches (probably the best hot turkey you’ll ever have) and they offer daily specials, breakfast served all day

Second time here and a hit again.
Excellent service even if they were busy.
The food is amazing, little high in the pocket, but hey, as drivers we have to appreciate good food.
Tired of the junk food. They have huge parking so if you have a delivery at the Target, this is a good place to have some good food

Good food but a little expensive for what it is. Large variety to choose from. Waited an hour for our food to come out (on a Sunday morning)

We had breakfast so I cant comment for any other later in the day foods.
The portions were good, food was hot and service was friendly and quick. All the right things Drivers look for!
Sorry about the pic…I forgot to take pics of the food BEFORE we dug in!
But anyway, Keep up the good Job!

Food was great! It’s a truck stop, so don’t expect white linen tablecloths, but that’s perfect for me. The country needs more of the old school truck stops with good food and a fair price in a clean environment. I can’t think of a single fast food joint that offers any of those.
Also got a nice shower with lots of hot water

Horrible service. Waitresses are more concerned with chatting with one another about dead carcasses than doing their jobs. Rude. Food was edible but it lacked flavor. Fries were over done. Small quality. Ran out of my drink and they walked by multiple times. Guy at the table next to me and his family were served after I was done eating and I had to wait for my ticket the whole time the guy was chewing with his mouth open. They were done and got their ticket long before I was finally given my ticket. I had my cc on the table the whole time. Worst service ever. I wont be back for the over priced burger and fries that cost over 20 bucks with a drink.
