We stopped in for drinks on our way back from Boca Grande to Port Charlotte. Terrific server and fun atmosphere- live entertainment was good but made it hard to talk. Super casual vibe right on the water. People are allowed to smoke in the open air section and many of them were which I don’t care for. Great drinks.

Went to White Elephant Pub at 7pm on a Saturday night. We went for dinner but the atmosphere was more like a bar that evening. We decided to stay and I was happy we did because the band was great. Unfortunately, it was so loud we couldn’t carry on a conversation with others at the table, even though we were outside. Dinner was good but nothing spectacular. My mom liked the haddock but I thought it was dry. Fries were crispy. I tasted my sister’s steak sandwich and I was surprised how tender it was.
There are about 10 tables outside directly on the water. The bar is outside/ inside style. Nice place to go if you want to have fun and you are only expecting “good” food.

They are really doing a LOT better lately. A few people left and that seems to have really helped. Entertainment lineup is consistently good to outstanding. Food options are much improved over a couple years ago too.

I had my grandma get me a salad to go. I specified I wanted my chicken and dressing in the side so it doesn’t ruin the lettuce. They put hot chicken and dressing all over my lettuce and when it got home it was in edible. And wasn’t big enough for 21$. I didn’t want chicken nuggets in my salad I wanted a char broiled chicken breast. Onions and peppers don’t belong in a Cesar salad either

The only thing that they have going for themselves is the view. Service was non existent. Bartender passed me 3 times without seeing my empty drink. There were 4 customers at the bar too. Not busy at all. Patty melt has yellow american cheese and is served on regular rye bread smaller than the burger. Looks like a 12 year old made it. Prices reflect a 3 star restaurant. What a joke. Will not go back unless I want to get drunk

We stopped for drinks & dinner, we were pleasantly surprised at how great our food was! I got a simple BLT w/fries & he got a Philly cheese steak w/onion rings and we shared both! Our meals were fast & hot, with generous portions and well worth the cost!
Even better we enjoyed listening to some live karaoke too! We will definitely go back again after another beach day! ️

Great pub. Very close to the beach. The food was great. Service was very quick. Live music in the middle of the afternoon on a weekday. Grouper is a must to try here. Patio looks out over bay and boats.

Service was fine but the beer wasn’t cold and the food was just okay. We ordered a burger and a patty melt. One with sweet potato fries, one with regular fries. The burgers are cooked medium well but can be cooked to order. Medium well was pretty dry. The fries looked and tasted like supermarket fries
They had a couple of guys playing and singing who were also okay. There is a view of a canal outside on the deck; one can watch the boats coming and going.
