Food was very good we got a spider roll, The Brooklyn roll and Tokyo Nights Ramen. However our server/bartender did a very poor job incredibly long wait from getting our starters to when he came back to order our main dishes, didn’t come back after we got our food to check if everything was ok. As well another server bumped into my girl and didn’t even ask if we were ok or say sorry.

The service here was very good. The workers were nice, professional, and the food came quickly. The fish here is great, but the rice is not sticky or sushi rice so the rolls and nigiri were falling apart. They have changed their 12 pc nigiri combo, you no longer get 12 types of fish, but 6 types, which was disappointing. The fried rice had good flavor but the rice was overcooked and mushy. Could have been an off night with the rice, but the flavors were good and fish was fresh. The best thing I had was the Surf and Turf roll. That wagyu beef tartar is amazing.

The sushi rolls, ramen, gyoza, and takoyaki were all tasty. The restaurant was quite busy and we had to wait during peak time.

However, the karaage chicken was not fully cooked inside.

The restaurant itself is nice; great atmosphere, it felt very cozy and lively, we had dinner there with it being our first time there. At first they were a bit unorganized with how they handled the next door seating arrangements. Our server was terrific, positive attitude and very welcoming. The food itself was okay and not worth the price imo. I ordered 4 spring rolls as an appetizer those were freshly fried and never miss, veggie fried rice that came with a small side of miso soup, a bowl of ramen and 2 beers. The fried rice was not the greatest. The rice was well overcooked and mooshy, all I could taste was egg and rice and not something I would reccomend. The entire rice was coated with egg. The ramen my wife got tasted like curry more than it did ramen. The noodles had a nice bite but overall you’re eating ramen at a sushi spot so its not their specialty. The miso was good, nothing crazy but I enjoyed that the most out of everything. All that for a little over $70 for 2 people. If I do come back I would be interested in trying thir sushi.

We stopped by Karma Sushi Bar Grill and ordered the Volcano Roll the Vegas Roll and some edamame to start. Everything was fresh and flavorful but the highlight of the night was definitely the Vegas Roll. The combination of textures and flavors was perfectly balanced and it stood out as one of the best rolls I have had in a long time. The Volcano Roll was also tasty and had a nice kick but the Vegas Roll was truly unforgettable.

Beyond the food the service was excellent from start to finish. The staff was attentive without being overbearing and they made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. It really added to the overall experience and made us feel welcomed and comfortable.

If you enjoy sushi this place offers a good mix of creative rolls and classic favorites. For me it was the Vegas Roll that set the bar so high and it is the kind of dish you keep thinking about long after you leave.

I can’t be sure about the quality of the blue crab, it looked more like a pate from Volmart, for this minus a star, in general, a good place. You need to be more careful with rice, it was a little sticky, but not critical.Salmon is better to use the fillet part, for a more delicate taste.

All the signs up about best Sushi and Seafood in Flagstaff must have set improper expectations

The salmon nigiri was dry and I dont know that I’ve had “dry” sushi in quite some time but I think thats the best word for it. The miso hippie ramen was amazing!

The atmosphere itself was great! Definitely had a vibe going. The few waitstaff we interacted with felt almost robotic and we waited quite a few times for quite awhile before they came back to check on us for anything.

For the price tag, I think every other sushi place I’ve been to in Flagstaff is better. Their ramen saved them, if I was just resting the sushi, I’d give them 1 star. Maybe their sushi chef that won the awards was off today ‍♂️

We stopped by Karma Sushi Bar Grill in Flagstaff and overall had a good experience.

We ordered the Karma and Instant Karma sushi rolls, along with the lobster tempura bites from their specials menu. The lobster bites were tasty but were mostly breading, especially for the $18 price point. The ramen was good, but the noodles were a little different than what we expected. As for the sushi, the flavors were good but the rice was a bit mushy this time around.

That said, the service was great. Thomas did an excellent job letting us know that the sushi bar was a bit backed up, so we really appreciated the communication. They brought out our ramen first, and about 15 minutes later our sushi and appetizer arrived.

We’ve been to Karma before and have had great experiences, so it seems like they were just extra busy this time. We’ll definitely be back
