Came here for breakfast. The service was awesome, very home feeling. Husband said the elk sausage was very good! The pancake was big and very thick, in a good way! Delicious! I got the country fried steak and it was huge and delicious! Very tasty! It was also affordable! They have so many type of bread too! We would definitely come back if we are in the area!

Recommended! This is a very down-to-earth American hearty-meal restaurant. I enjoyed my Farmer’s Omelette (even though they forgot the gravy) and my wife really enjoyed her “Kiddies & Seniors Lunch” size Chicken Fried Chicken Dinner, which came with mashed potatoes and lots of gravy. It was plenty big! We also enjoyed the extensive Halloween decor.

Debbie our server was great! She was kind, attentive and friendly. Our food was served hot and everything was really good. I got the waffle with a half order of biscuits and gravy and it was only $12. The food came quickly and was delicious. Also, I highly recommend getting a Baileys and hot chocolate! It was delicious! We will definitely be back the next time we are in town.

Awesome Food! I had a smothered Burrito and it was the size of the plate and the Green chili was yummy! Will for sure go back!! Plus my coffee cup was never empty excellent service! Highly recommend!

Amazing atmosphere and fresh breakfast and coffee. The food was homey and filling. We love older diners over trendy spots and this was perfect. We got there right when it opened at 7 and by 8 there was a line out the door but the servers were moving quick and friendly.

Home cooking, friendly waitresses. We were there for breakfast on Labor Day weekend, a wait for seating and for the food, but expected. Food was great, no complaints. I had the Buckeroo. Can’t go wrong! Thanks for living up to your reputation, Jan’s! We sure enjoyed our visit to Buena Vista! Loved the bear!!

I just ate one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. There’s was a small wait but it was worth it. You can tell the staff works well together and there’s great communication and great service. I love a good small town joint! If we ever come back here we’re coming to eat here 100%
