Had an amazing lunch which was highlighted by a conversation between my guests and the staff in Nepali and Hindi! The portions are generous with refills on the rice were plentiful. I had the vegetable korma with cheese naan and this was plenty to eat. The other people my party had a little bit more zip to their food with it being Indian hot! Will definitely be back soon!

We ordered the Mix Platter, Butter Chicken, and Garlic Naan. The shrimp in the mixed platter was undercooked. Butter Chicken is the one dish expected to be good in every Indian restaurant, but they didn’t even get it right; the gravy was runny and didn’t taste good. Not a good experience, especially for the price paid.”

I didn’t expect to find such a fantastic Indian restaurant in this isolated part of Colorado, but Nirvana in Cañon City truly exceeded my expectations! From the outside, it looks like a small place, but once inside, I was blown away by the spacious seating and top-notch ambiance.
I ordered the tandoori chicken, which came with four juicy, fresh chicken legs. The spice level was mild, just enough to enhance the flavors, and it was served with basmati rice. However, I found it difficult to finish the rice since there was no curry to make it moist. I also tried the biryani, which was full of rich spices and had great quality.
The restaurant was lively, with many families dining in, which speaks to its popularity. I would highly recommend Nirvana to anyone looking for delicious Indian food near Cañon City!

Good Indian food offered in a casual dining environment. Nice location with bar, dining room and outdoor seating as well. Service was very friendly and fast. Food was authentic and very tasty. Spice scale is 1-5 with 5 being “Indian Hot” and we were very happy with 2 and 3 levels. Naan was fresh and delicious! Great find in a small town with not many other authentic offerings. If it’s Indian you want, definitely recommend giving this place a try.
