We’re not so fortunate to visit Paris regularly and so it took us 10 years to finally have our table booked after a well respected gourmand friend recommended Frenchie a decade ago. And it didn’t disappoint at all. The tiny Rue du Nil is filled with not only the original restaurant but a second concept, wine bar and wine shop as well. Surrounded by tiny bio shops selling each their own specialty like a fish monger, bakery, butcher, cheese and vegetables. Frenchie is a tiny place with tiny tables and chairs but it all works really well to experience an intimate evening wining and dining while being well taken care of by the young and attentive staff. The pretty amuse bouches already set the bar in terms of flavour and presentation for the other 5 courses of the tasting menu that was about to start. Each dish a winner with creative flavour combos, delicious sauces, different textures and well executed techniques. You can taste the passion. The wine arrangement is solid and introduced us to surprising wines, the non alcoholic pairing was perhaps even better. One thing we wouldn’t recommend and that’s the optional €75 pp shavings of white truffle: the quantity is little, the price hefty and the dish it’s shaved upon has already a punchy flavour so the truffle didn’t add much to it. All in all Frenchie made us experience an evening to remember, for sure our next booking won’t take another 10 years. Highly recommended and chapeau to the chef and staff.

We were lucky enough to get the chef’s counter seats where we had a lot of personal attention from chefs and servers. The food was fantastic and we had a front row seat to the plating and some preparation. Great food, intimate setting, highly recommend! Favorite dishes were the halibut with an accompanying acidy custard that I could have eaten all night , agnolotti in onion broth and incredible desserts.

Wonderful and creative meal with individualized, attentive service. The restaurant was kind enough to accommodate a dietary sensitivity on very short notice. The chef and staff truly cared and tended to every detail— a meal perfectly choreographed! Thank you for a delicious ious and mémorable dinner, Frenchie! We look forward to returning on our next trip to Paris.

Frenchie – where precision meets warmth on Rue du Nil

Dining at Frenchie is an experience that feels both intimate and meticulously orchestrated. Sitting at the bar, just a few feet from the open kitchen, allows you to witness every detail — the quiet focus of the chefs, the delicate plating, the rhythm of a team that works like a living organism. It’s not just dinner; it’s a dialogue between craftsmanship and emotion.

Chef Greg Marchand’s cuisine celebrates the terroir of France with cosmopolitan flair — a balance between memory and innovation. Each plate is constructed with purpose: layers of flavor that reveal the integrity of ingredients and the precision of technique. The dishes arrive like small compositions — elegant yet alive.

What makes the experience special is the human side. The team is gracious, attentive, and flexible — they kindly offered to replace my dessert when I mentioned I don’t eat chocolate. The alternative, a fruit-based creation with subtle floral notes, was extraordinary and proved the kitchen’s creativity and generosity.

Every detail, from the ceramics by Marion Graux to the Ten Belles bread and bean-to-bar chocolate by PLAQ, reflects Frenchie’s dedication to sustainability and artisanship.

It’s rare to find a restaurant that so seamlessly merges refinement with authenticity. Frenchie is one of those rare Parisian places where fine dining feels human, not performative — genuine artistry served with warmth.

The food was delicious, and I had special dietary requirements which the kitchen accommodated immediately, much appreciated. The service was very friendly and attentive. Everything went a bit fast at times, but overall it was a great experience. The only small point for improvement would be the atmosphere: the lighting was quite bright and could be dimmed, and a candle on the table would add a nice, cozy touch.

Dinner at Frenchie was nothing short of amazing. It was a 5-course blind dinner and the restaurant really delivered. Everything from the unique flavours and ingredients of each course to the wine pairing which we had opted for were extremely thoughtful and well executed.

Huge kudos to the staff who were also so friendly! We got the kitchen counter seats which gave us a front row seat to plating which was really fun and entertaining. Chef Greg also came around often to check in on us which we really appreciated.

All in all a must-try when in Paris.

Was able to eat here with my wife last night and really enjoyed the intimate atmosphere and excellent service. We opted for the premium wine pairing (€110 pp) which I would not recommend. For that price I would expect some very interesting and tasty selections, which was not the case. Several courses of dinner were quite good such as the duck, monk fish and scallops. The chocolate desert served with mushroom ice cream and a desert wine with strong industrial solvent undertones was disappointing. I’m glad we had an opportunity to experience, but I do feel at this price point there are better options.

2.5 ⭐ really wanted to like this restaurant, particularly as we were celebrating a birthday.
It is a five course set menu and we opted for the wine pairing (70€).
Starting with the food – I have to be honest and say that the first four courses were reminiscent of acceptable British airways first/business class dining. Looks great on paper but the flavour wasn’t there and unfortunately I can’t blame any altitude or a dulled palate. The first course was a cold scallop dish that was rather boring with limited flavour – ours seemed boiled vs the nice sear I can see in other posted reviews. The second course was sun-choke ravioli that was fairly unexciting and didn’t have an excess of flavour depth either. The third course was a monkfish that was exceedingly salty and two of us found we weren’t able to finish as a result. The fourth course was chicken that was ok, but again way too salty and the stuffing(?) accompaniment was frankly inedible in our opinion and we all left it. The dessert was fantastic and really saved the meal for us (to some extent). It was chocolate and pear in a few preparation and hats off to the pastry chef as it was truly delicious.
In summary, we found the savoury courses boring and overly salty to the point we struggled to recall the earlier courses by the time we were on the dessert.
The wine pairing was alright – nothing to complain about but the pours were stingy and again it was nothing memorable.
The service was again – just ok, not overly personable by any means and not helped by the rather bland atmosphere and overly lit bare room.
For a restaurant with what looked like a 1:1 staff to patron ratio we expected far far better.
The bathroom sink was also not working which doesn’t feel ideal or completely sanitary.
I was disappointed in myself for picking this as a birthday dinner but we had heard good things from multiple sources.
I know their menu changes seasonally so perhaps this iteration just falls flat but I can’t imagine it won them their Michelin star.
Whilst I won’t be returning after spending over €900 for four people on a mediocre meal, I hope they can improve what they are offering.
We had many better and more memorable meals during our time in Paris, all within the €400-€600 range.

Fantastic meal with very well matching premium wine pairing. Excellent palette of flavors, well crafted food, nice atmosphere. Had a lovely meal and one of our best in Paris over two weeks. Staff was very nice, accommodating and knowledgeable -the sommelier even walked me over to the Frenchie wine shop to pick up a bottle.
