A special shoutout to my server, Jeanae. She had such a bubbly personality and was incredibly helpful with recommendations. She checked in at all the right times and made the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. Great service like that really stands out.
I’ll definitely be back!
The crab cakes were excellent; full of flavor and mostly crab (which you definitely appreciate when you order crab cakes). The fries were hot and crispy and paired perfectly with the meal. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared.
What really made the experience stand out though was my server, Jeanae. She had such a warm, bubbly personality and gave great recommendations. Service like that really elevates a meal and makes you want to come back.
The atmosphere is lively but still comfortable, and the location makes it a great spot before a show in the theater district.
Chicago has a lot of great restaurants, but experiences like this remind you why certain places become favorites. Looking forward to my next visit.
We ordered the lobster deviled eggs, filet mignon, and salmon. The appetizer was very good and the salmon was delicious. However, the steak arrived on a cafeteria-style plate with no plating effort whatsoever for a high‑end restaurant. The edges of the steak were burned, so we asked to return it. After some initial pushback, the “chef” agreed and offered a replacement.
At that point, we decided to leave and ended up enjoying an excellent filet mignon at Michael Jordan’s Steak House instead.
Overall, a very disappointing experience.
Our server was very friendly and attentive throughout the meal. This definitely added to the experience.
We ordered: spinach and artichoke dip, lobster deviled eggs, side salad with blue cheese dressing, and a cheeseburger with fries. The spinach dip was excellent and the chips which came with it were freshly cooked. The lobster deviled eggs were the best deviled eggs any of us ever had. The blue cheese dressing was the best restaurant blue cheese we’ve had, as well – great flavor and texture. The burger was good, but nothing standout.
The biggest surprise of the whole trip was the outstanding piece of cornbread which came with the salad. THE TOPS. Lots of flavor, moisture, and texture. We’re planning on getting the whole skilet appetizer of it next time.
