Its ok. Service wasnt outstanding. There was a “staff shortage” so the wait to get table took 20 mins. Our server was very nice, but said he recently started working as a waiter so there was a small learning curve. Another thing was he was a very low talker, we couldn’t hear anything he said.
The food.
Free pita and hummus was ok.
The roasted veggies wasnt roasted and it was sloppy. Thats why I rather eat at a well ran Pollo Tropical. Everything’s grilled and cheap.
The sangria was way too sugary! Had a hard time finishing the a glass. The white sangria was even sweeter. No Bueno.
Octopus too chewy. Give it a C.
The falafel was a fail. Tough, chewy, tasteless. D+
Lentil soup overly salty. C-
Great place for kids and large parties.
Im sure there’s great things on the menu that I didn’t have, but based off the dishes I had this place is ok. I would definitely recommend it, but I myself wouldn’t return.

I’ve been to the Ybor location lots and didn’t realize this was right down the street from me. This will absolutely be my go to from now on, saves me the drive and paying for parking.
My server Gabriel was very knowledgeable, kind and professional. Was happy to explain the differences between the locations and what specials they were running. His service was extremely fast and delivered with a warm smile. He brought my dog water without having to be asked and just added to my overall first experience at this location.
The food in my opinion is of better quality at this location and the portion sizes a bit larger especially the feta on the Greek salad I got.
Overall highly recommend it’s a 10/10 for me, the patio adds a nice touch and is quite large too.

Acropolis Greek Taverna – Riverview is one of our favorite stops in the Riverview area for Greek cuisine. It is the standout restaurant in the heart of the Winthrop Town Centre area. The Greek art is blended into the architecture style and so brings a perfect atmosphere for relaxation, Birthdays, or Date Nights. The food is fresh, delicious and reasonably priced. We recommend the grilled octopus; we tried it in our latest visit and it was perfectly made…tender and juicy. The service is always quick and professional; shout-out to Kelli who was super friendly and attentive. Another plus is that they feature a middle eastern dancing artist on the weekends. We had the luck of catching a performance one time and she was great!

Absolutely delicious! Riley was our server and she was so attentive and helpful and made sure to take my allergies into consideration. The food was EXCELLENT- highly recommend the steak kabob skewer. Bread and the dip were also really nice and everything tasted fresh and delicious. Definitely hope to come back again soon!

I checked this places out for the first time. It just happen to be a bad experience.I found a big long hair in my meatball. I still have bad taste of the image of the long hair through the meatball. The manager did come out to apologize and asked if I wanted something else. Although, I felt nauseous and in distress I still was hungry as I hadn’t ate all day and was encouraged by coworkers to order something else and it was more likely going to be taken care by the restaurant. I just ordered an appetizer to be safe. With a bitter taste I still manage to eat. My coworkers were wrong I received a $15 bill. I did ask to speak to the manager who then was willing to take care of the bill. I appreciate the effort but this experience is unacceptable, people with long hair need to properly secure their hair especially in a public location. Also , if this happens management needs to fully initiate to make the customer experience a positive one by making it up to the customer that’s customer service. I will not be returning again as my experience was not a good one. Also they have a bee problem outside, get ready to eat with the bees.

Four of us went to Acropolis Greek Taverna in Riverview for a weekday lunch and had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was very pleasant—busy but still quiet enough to easily enjoy conversation. We started with the stuffed mushrooms, and OMG… they were huge and absolutely amazing!
For lunch, two of us ordered the Athena Chicken Wrap, one had a gyro, and I chose the Crete Burger with extra tzatziki. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious—and the portions were so generous that we all had leftovers to take home.
Our server was attentive, friendly, and spot-on with our order. Great food, great service, and a wonderful overall experience. We’ll definitely be back!

It was ok. The chicken had an off taste and the pita bread was stale. Unfortunately between the weird taste and weird pink red color in the some of the chicken pieces I had to throw it out. The greek salad was very good and fresh as was the tzatki dip. Although the chicken didn’t taste great they did give me a ton.
I got take out and the person who packaged it was excellent. All of my food was correct and everything I ordered was in the bags. Also the hostess was very sweet and quickly got my to go food from the bay.
I think I prefer the Ybor Location. Their chicken tastes better, was fresher and did not look funky. Also they gave me spring lettuce instead of iceberg. Not sure I will come back to this location anytime soon.

The place is spacious, clean, and very pleasant, as is the service. The food is delicious, and the prices are fair for the portion sizes, which are more than adequate. The only comment was on a plate of fried calamari, which we felt could have been crispier and with a bit more seasoning.
