A little history… Winnie’s Tavern has been around for more than 60 years. Mainly a bar that served an excellent burger it has changed into a restaurant with burgers being the featured item on the menu! The clientele has changed from mainly neighbors and sailors to a wide range of people looking for a good burger, great atmosphere and good music. We pride ourselves on all of those things and hope that you enjoy your visit with us!
Known for its burgers, this nautical-themed standby since 1962 also offers a full bar & patio seats.

If you want a great burger, this place never disappoint. For the appetizer I had the fried okra bites omg very well seasoned. Entree was the BBQ bacon cheeseburger. Burger was very size proportion 1/2 pound and juicy. From the beautiful hostess greet to our waitress great friendly service. I’ll be back for sure.

WOW! Read about this place in Our State. Got to visit today. Great space! Really nice wait staff. Perfectly attentive. Great burgers! The Cajun spiced fried okra for a starter was excellent. Fresh and hot and just a little kick. The burgers my wife and I got were perfectly cooked and so delicious. Garlic fries seasoned perfectly. Sweet potato fries with cinnamon sugar were delightful.

I got the trailer park burger, very juicy and flavorful. It was different than expected, but I really enjoyed it. Food came out fast. Sweet tea was great! The Cajun fried okra was crispy and full of flavor. It’s a small restaurant but they also have outside seating. Don’t let that deter you tho because they have plenty of seating inside. Parking is decently sized. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere.

First impressions matter, and Winnie’s Tavern nailed it. We were greeted right away by a very friendly hostess, which set the tone for a great meal. The burgers were excellent and cooked to perfection, and the homemade chips are absolutely not to be missed. Our server, Erin, was outstanding—always smiling, super attentive, and on top of everything. The service was truly impeccable. We’ll definitely be back!

These were some of the best burgers we have had in a very long time(outside of mine of course)! The waitress was very kind and very helpful in explaining the menu when we had questions. Met a nice couple there also that was from about an hour away. South Carolina /North Carolina border. They also said their burgers were the bomb! We will be definitely be going back !!! I would just like to thank the staff and the cooks for a delicious and delightful Lunch and keep taking pride in what you do! Sorry, I don’t have photos to share. The food went too fast!! Down our tummy that is!

Love love love Winnie’s. It’s close to home, fun atmosphere, delicious burgers and SO accommodating to dietary restrictions. Their gluten free bun does not fall apart, it’s great!! The staff is super kind and their vegan mayo is delicious!
