A small town restaurant with a welcoming, homey vibe. A good variety of food types. A fresh salad bar. Quite busy on a Saturday night. It took about 15 minutes to get seated. It was an enjoyable experience overall with very good food. The chicken breast I had was tender, juicy and tasty. The food took a long time to get to the table but I think the kitchen was just overwhelmed. I’ll go back and try again.

We ate at Crossroad’s today. My wife had the fried pork chop and I had the roast beef. The pork chop was fork tender with a crisp (not greasy) shell. The shredded roast beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender and both were delicious. Parking may be a bit limited, but this place would be packed if people knew how good the food was! We will definitely be back!

Popcorn shrimp tasted like it was minced, shaped shrimp out of a box. Baked potato was hard and cold. Husband said catfish tasted like we what we buy at Sam’s. On the bright side, sweet tea was good, fried green tomatoes were good. Service was slow but good. Server was nice. Took 35 minutes to get our food and they weren’t busy. Two trips in one, first and last.

My wife and I have ordered from here several times and the quality of our food is never very good. Our steaks are consistently cooked incorrectly. Their fries are bland, mushy, and not seasoned. My wife ordered a salad and it was all lettuce with one tiny slice of tomato and onion. They were less than 2″ in diameter. Their 8 oz. ribeye is now $14.49, up $2. For these prices you would expect to get better food. Probably wont order from here again.

Our first visit and it was a good one. The grilled chicken, the ribeye and the catfish were all excellent as were the sides. Add some of the best sweet tea around and the homemade banana pudding and you’ve got a great meal at a good price with great people taking care of you. We will definitely be back soon.

Always looking for a weekend road trip and different places to dine.
Came across crossroads restaurant and it was outstanding. The fried fish, sides, tea hushpuppys, tarter sauce all great. Pre meal biscuits some of the best I’ve had. Honestly can’t find one bad thing to say about the food and staff is great as well.I would like to see collard or turnip greens on the menu and
Definitely will return.

First time here, so will start with the good. Though the waitstaff were all teenagers, they took very good care of us and were very friendly.
I ordered rib eye steak and it was so chewy and salty, it was inedible. Sent it back and Mae charged me very little for the salad I had. The banana pudding was dry and tasteless. The potato salad was good.
My husband’s hamburger steak was very dull tasting but he said it was ok with A1 sauce. The biscuits however were divine!

We went on Thursday night at 7pm. The restaurant was not busy when we arrived. We ordered our food: fried pickles for an appetizer, 2 kids corn dogs w/ mac & cheese, chicken livers w/ mac & cheese and the chicken delight w/ green beans). It took over an hour to get our appetizer. Our waitress didn’t come check on us after she took our order, she didn’t come check on us after she brought the appetizer. We had to wait until we saw her to wave her down and we asked to have our entrees packed to go. It was 8:45pm when we finally received our meals, and the restaurant closes at 9pm. This was my first time visiting this restaurant and definitely the last. I had wanted to try this restaurant out since I moved to Tallapoosa, but it was a let down. The chicken livers upset my husbands stomach and the food was downright awful.

This food is some of the best southern cooking I’ve had. The team over at Mae’s really know how to take care of their customers. The fried pickles are a must every time I’m in town!

Thanks Mae!

They treat you and feed you like family! I would give them a million stars if I could! Go check them out and get you some good food that makes you feel like you’re in your grandma’s kitchen!
