Every time we go we walk out soooo excited to bring home these hot delicious papusas! They NEVER disappoint. My favorite are the ones with shrimp (camarones). We try something new for us each time we are there. A favorite Saturday breakfast.

We’ve been meaning to try this place out and finally got the opportunity. So glad we did. It was our first time eating Pupusas and we LOVED them. We will be back!

I have been going to this establishment for years now. I think they offer a really unique selection of items. I personally really enjoy their pupusas, horchata, and breakfast plates with beans and eggs. The servers are polite, but do not expect fast food speeds. They make everything themselves and the wait is worth it in my opinion. Finally, their atmosphere is perfect for a short lunch, its authentic and not gentrified. Overall, this is one of my favorite secret gems of the Matthews area. Cheers.

I was charged .50 more per pupusa. I asked the cashier why I was charged .50 more than the price on the menu, he said that it was an old menu that’s posted. I told him the charges are suppose to be the price that’s on the menu. I told him they need to update their prices. He had an attitude with me. I also waited over 30 minutes to get my food, even those that ordered after me received their food before me. I’ll never go there again or recommend it. Poor service!

We have ate at this little joint a couple of times. The popusas are good. The hot sauce could use some work. The owner can be rude at times. This place can definitely improve with some good customer service and the addition of some authentic Mexican and Central American cuisine. I really do wish them the best.

Went for lunch and got what was recommended – Pupusas of course. This was my first time having them and they were delicious. Kids got tacos and were jealous once they tried the Pupusas. Service was great – nice guy (and an NC State fan). Will definitely be a return customer.

Pupusas were delicious. It’s a little thinner than I’m used to, but I actually prefer it this way because they are crunchier and have a nice bite to it. I wish they were open for dinner.

First time eating here and the Pupusas were delicious. The young boy helping with the orders and working the register was impressive. Even at such a young age, he was knowledgeable, very friendly. The parents should be proud. I can’t wait to go back to try the Chorizo tacos.

First off the Pupusas were really good. I’d give those 4 stars. The other food was 2 if not 1 hence the star rating of 3. We went on a Saturday (supposedly one of the busier days) and the plantains were chewy to hard. The eggs were a bit rubbery and tortillas felt a bit old. I would come back only for pupusas.

The food is always amazing and served so hot. The staff treats you like family. I’ve gone there multiple times in one week. It’s one of the best kept secrets.
