I eat here a few times and it’s always clean and the Folks here are real nice too. I’ve enjoyed mostly the Beef and Broccoli Lunch Special with White Rice. I’ve eaten a few different meals here and enjoyed each one very much.

Currently, this is the best Chinese food in the city of Lakeland. We have been to just under a dozen Chinese restaurants here in Lakeland, and this place has both good food, clean kitchen, and friendly staff
The restaurant – 8/10 – It was very clean and the seating and tables were not torn or stained or run down. However, there was only about 4 or 5 tables, but this is one of the few Chinese places I’d actually eat in at.
The staff – 9/10 – I have no complaints. My order was correct. Everyone looked as though they were all very busy. Both people I interacted with were nice and accommodating.
The food:
General Tso’s chicken – 9/10 – The chicken was perfect, the sauce was a good amount of spice, and there was plenty of it for the price. The only thing keeping this from a 10 was I like my sauce a little thicker and I wish there was more of it
Hunan chicken – 9/10 – Perfect spice, perfect chicken, crisp vegetables, this dish was on point. The only thing keeping it from a 10 was there was quite a bit of celery in mine. I’m not a fan of the useless veggie, but that’s just me.
Sweet and Sour chicken – 5.5/10 – The chicken was perfect, but the sweet and sour sauce was as quite bad. It was very runny like water, but the taste was quite “tangy” with almost a “chemical” after taste. The sauce unfortunately brought down the score of both the egg rolls and the crab rangoon as well.
Pork fried rice – 9.5/10 – Wow, other home run, and from a side dish… The rice was moist and the veggies and pork added perfect flavor for a perfect fried rice. The only thing it was lacking was a little extra soy… but hey, I added my own and made it a 10.
Egg rolls – 6/10 – The wrapper was crispy, but the filling was rather heavy on the cabbage. But what really drops down the score is that sweet and sour sauce. But what keeps these at a 6 and not lower is the fact that these were good without the sauce
Crab Rangoon – 3/10 – These were edible… that’s about all I can say. The wrapper was limp and not crispy. The crab and cream cheese stuffing was “thin” and runny for a Rangoon stuffing and I think it was because there was very little, if any, crab. And again, that sauce didn’t help this score at all.
All in all, I would give this place a solid 8.5/10 and I would definitely recommend.

We ordered take out from Joys, paid over 90$ for 4 dinner specials which was 2 beef and broccoli- and 2 sweet Nd sour chicken- 2 rangoon- expecting it to be ALOT of food- my youngest could eat the entire dish. I wasnt happy with the food-no flavor- i wont be returning. I was very disappointed.

1st time trying this restaurant and I must say the interior was very charming. I really like that really plants are around the counter. The girl at the counter though was very short and not very pleasant. I understand she must have had a really hard day. It still took away from the overall experience. I hope she has a better day on her next shift. The food is outstanding! I look forward to coming again to try other things on your menu. Tofu vegetable soup and the dumplings are wonderful.

I’ve made repeat trips there. The food items that I chose were excellent and plentiful. Everything was made fresh. The staff at the counter are always friendly and helpful. Will continue to be a customer….

Conveniently order online. Greeted by friendly Staff. Ordered egg drop & wonton soup with a side of pork dumplings everything was fresh and hot. Not a very inviting place to sit and eat unless your on a lunch break or something. Small dining room. Joyful is ideal for takeout. I would highly recommend if you want to try something new other than the usual mainstream Asian cuisine chains.

I ordered my dumplings extra fried they came steamed. I ordered spare ribs with fried rice, got NO RICE. I WILL NEVER ORDER OR EAT THERE EVER AGAIN…Oh and ordered and paid the extra $1 for bottled sprite and got a can … HORRIBLE… NEVER AGAIN

This was my first time trying out the joyful restaurant and everything was good. I wish the fried rice had some egg pieces in it and the bourbon chicken was slightly sweeter, but everything else was very good. The gentleman who answered the phone was very helpful as well when I had a few questions and got answers for me right away.
