We were staying in Bridport for the weekend and having arrived at our Airbnb wanted to find a takeaway within walking distance. The Tamarind was recommended. We immediately found dishes we were unfamiliar with (always good) and phoned our order through just after 7. We walked down and immediately knew we were in good hands. The restaurant was full, the kitchen was full of chopping and cooking sounds and there was a real family vibe. The owner, despite being surrounded by a sea of tickets which would have defeated a lesser person found ours and within five minutes, we were walking back with a bag filled with fragrant delicacies. We enjoyed every mouthful. Beautifully cooked, wonderfully spiced and the perfect start to our weekend. We will return! Highly recommended.

Had an unplanned evenings worth of baby sitting and decided to pop out for dinner.
Checked out local places on Google before heading out and saw the positive reviews the Tamarind had received.
The staff were amazing, really friendly and attentive – there was no rush to get us out of the door, infact the gentleman who was looking after us made it abundantly clear we could stay as long as we liked.
The food was absolutely top notch, everything was delicious and didn’t take ages to get from the kitchen.
Price was incredibly reasonable, I’m just annoyed that it’s 150 miles from home

Had deliveries from these guys recently and I cannot fault them. The naan bread is delicious . I like a tasty and hot curry and have not been disappointed with my choices. They deliver quickly and the food is always hot. They are also a very fair price compared to others in the area.

Delivery lady let us know she was on her way and when she arrived was very friendly. The food was probably the best Indian takeaway we’ve ever had – we’re not from here so maybe Hereford’s Indian takeaways need to up their games!!

We’re staying in a nearby airbnb at Mangerton Lake and last night we fancied an Indian takeaway. A quick Google search showed that Tamarind has the best reviews in the area, and it’s easy to see why. It came within 45 min and was really hot. Friendly delivery driver. The food though is why we’re writing this review, definitely the tastiest Indian we’ve had in a long time! The chicken was cooked to perfection, really tasty flavours throughout every single thing. Even the Naan bread was the best I’ve had in a long time. If we lived here rather than just visiting, this would be our go to Indian restaurant for sure!

Whilst usually I recommend tamarind, last night’s meal for 2 contained gone off chicken in korma soup, the mint dip tasted like chemicals and the chutney was also inedible. It’s a shame because It’s been my favourite for a while but I can never eat here again.
