My husband and I enjoyed a fantastic lunch from Avocado Sushi on Arthur Kill Road in Staten Island. The lunch specials are a great deal. The Steak Hibachi and Teriyaki Salmon portions were generous, especially for $11.95, and the food was fresh and flavorful. Highly recommended!

Delicious sushi and great service. The rolls were all fresh and the service was quick. I loved the tuna roll and poke bowl. The special rolls are large portions and great for sharing with friends. Prices have increased slightly but worth it.

I usually order takeout. the food is good, fish is usually fresh sometimes I get a few pieces that aren’t great. I would like to see real pineapple used in the Thai brown fried rice. It’s very good except for the giant pieces of canned pineapple.

Guys please please pay attention I just witnessed something so disgusting here I am sick to my stomach. I am a loyal patron of this restaurant I have eaten from here too many times to count. Today I took my kids for lunch and we saw the sushi chef go into the bathroom wearing gloves, ok no problem but he came out and with the same gloves started preparing sushi I couldn’t have run out of there fast enough!! That is soooo gross I don’t care if he washed his hands w his gloves on that is so un sanitary is it too hard to change your gloves

Lukewarm green tea was a grim portent. Asked staff if tea is always served tepid. “We can microwave it,” was the reply. A shame as the tea had a nice smoky body.
The miso soup had a heavenly broth.
For appetizer four battered jalapeno halves with spicy salmon and cream cheese were deep fried then drizzled with a special sauce.
Shrimp and vegetables tempura entree was served with brown rice. Dipping sauce and requested wasabi accompanied pumpkin tomato eggplant broccoli onion rings with four long prawns delicately coated.
The green tea refill came steeping hot as preferred.
Will return when in the mood for sushi.
