Googled Italian restaurant on our way back from Providence. Valentine’s day no reservation, they welcomed us and found us a seat Best Italian we have ever had. Not fancy, just fabulous. Causal and prices are very reasonable. Staff are wonderful and chief came out to say Ciao. 10 out of 10. Going back soon.

Came for dinner, left emotionally attached.
The food tasted like someone’s nonna was in the back yelling “MORE GARLIC” and honestly? Thank you. Everything was homemade, comforting, and dangerous in the sense that you will not stop eating.
Dawn, our waitress, was hilarious—very much aunt-at-Sunday-dinner energy. The kind of person who roasts you lovingly and then makes sure your plate is never empty.
The owner/chef stopped by and looked like a real-life Mario & Luigi situation, which somehow made the food taste even better. If you want amazing Italian food with personality, this is the place.

I’m usually VERY picky when it comes to Italian food, but the dishes at a Posilippo were 100% authentic and checked all the boxes! The spaghetti with seafood were delicious, and so were the bruschette! The absolute best was the sauce for the Scaloppine, which added to the entire quality of the dish! The owner, Luigi, is also incredibly friendly and made the dining experience so much better by making us feel right at home! Will definitely come back to this restaurant and recommend it to everyone I know!

Had dinner here on Saturday night. Felt like we were eating with friends. The food was delicious. Best bruschetta and tiramisu I have ever had. Our waitress Dawn was funny and great. We’ll definitely be back.

Diamond in the rough. My food was excellent, the place is outdated but it didn’t change the atmosphere from being great. Little Italy
If you are in a rush, pass by. The service is slow BUT it’s because there is only 1 older Italian gentleman in the back cooking everyone’s plate to order. AND he still takes the time to come out and say Ciao to his customers. My food came out piping hot which rarely happens when I am out to dinner. I will be back in the future!

Real food, the old fashion way. Best Italian food I have had in a long time. You can tell when the chef cares!

Our waitress Dawn was one of the most friendly and outgoing I have ever had. The bread and olive oil went over very well. The salad was good but on the small side. The chicken parm was decent. The veal parm was nicely done and went over well.. The filet was excellent.

Some of the best dinners had with my family have been at this restaurant! Whether it’s the chicken, veal, or eggplant parm, you will not be disappointed!

Luciano is a brilliant chef and continues to serve meals that will be remembered for a lifetime!

We had such a delicious meal and great hospitality tonight! Do not feel put off by the exterior or the neighborhood. This is not a fancy place, but I promise you will love the authentic and homemade food. Jessica was our guide and advocate during our meal and menu selection. When she tells you you’ll love something, trust her! I don’t even eat tomatoes, but I did on the bruschetta. Who doesn’t like something when it is perfectly ripe, comes with EVO, garlic (lots of it!), fresh basil and shaved provolone? We had the lobster ravioli and seafood spaghetti. Both were perfectly crafted and offered huge portions. Dinner tomorrow! Chef and owner Luciana greeted all of his guests, and as we were the last to leave, shared a toast with us of his homemade Limoncello. Salut to Jessica and Luciana for your food and your grace. Thanks again, Diane and Dan from Baltimore

My wife and I went here for dinner. I have to think that all these five star reviews are fake. There is noooooooooo way this place would ever get five stars. Ever. From anyone. The service was TERRIBLE. The atmosphere terrible. We gave it a chance because this place was recommended by a coworker who had been going for years. I asked him if I should make a reservation…he said in the ten years he had been going he had only once or twice made a reservation. We walked in we were ignored for about 15 minutes. There were three other people in the restaurant. When the bartender finally asked us if they could help we said: “table for two?” She said “it’s going to be a while”. The restaurant was empty… after standing around looking bewildered as to why? We almost left and then we were finally seated….in an almost empty dining room. (we were there for almost two hours total and only one other family for four were seated) After about twenty minutes they came to take our order. I ordered a beer and my wife ordered a white wine. About ten minutes later they brought bread….no drinks…fifteen minutes later they brought our drinks. We tried to order but the waitress said they would be right back. She took so long we had finished our drinks by the time she came back. We finally ordered and and asked for refills. Well…..given what we had experienced it was exactly what you would think. Watery tomato sauce on top of box pasta. Also they never brought us more drinks. I had to flag down the waitress to ask a third time for refill on my wife’s wine! We ate some of the food and didn’t take leftovers. Do yourself a favor and skip it. Skip all the reviews too. Save your money. To be honest I don’t even want to give this place a second chance. It’s just not worth it. Are all these people leaving five star reviews eating cardboard and chef boyardee for dinner!? Is that why they think this place is good!? I am just totally mystified.
