BEST Ice coffee I’ve had in a long time. I had chugged quite a bit before the picture. I ordered the large coffee and strong and #11 SW special combo and already ate half before I was compelled to write a review. I also ordered the L Pate Chaud Chicken pastry and it was so buttery and flakey it didn’t even have a chance of making it in the picture. I can see why the coffee is #1 ordered nothing fancy but definitely a coffee lovers wonderful surprise, and for a sandwich shop! I’ll definitely be coming again especially for the coffee!

This is a 42-year-old Vietnamese sandwich chain that started in San Jose. From 1983 to today, it has expanded across the United States and become almost a household name. My first try was truly amazing—I never knew sandwiches could be this delicious! Their meat is incredibly fragrant, paired with fresh vegetables and savory sauces. The bread is perfectly soft and chewy, creating a rich, savory flavor that bursts in your mouth with every bite!

It’s not as good as i though. We tried grilled pork and egg, sausage. We couldn’t finish all
The flavor is different from original Asian (Vietnamese) sandwiches. Not recommended for Asian people.

This place caught my eye on the way home and I was craving a sandwich so I stopped to try it. Super hidden but when walking up it’s very well kept on the outside and inviting. When you walk in there’s some snacks and drinks that are made in house. The place is pretty big inside so you can definitely sit and enjoy your meal.

I ordered a turkey sandwich with baguette bread. I don’t like mustard so I asked for no mustard and this prompted the woman taking my order to ready my order back to me which I really appreciate. I also ordered their Ube Coffee because it really caught my eye. The turkey Sandwich was delicious! At first I was worried that the baguette was too hard but as I started eating it, the bread was perfectly baked. The cheese and turkey were good and the lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and it all just made for a delicious sandwich. The Ube coffee was delicious.. it’s Vietnamese coffee which I love! But this was probably the best Vietnamese coffee I have ever had.. and I have had a lot of Vietnamese coffee in San Diego. This is the best! Not too sweet not too bitter. Just perfect! Over all a great lunch!!

Sandwiches were good, my husband went in and ordered the roast beef and I got the turkey croissant each sandwich was pretty good. I gave it 3 stars cause they mainly had a lot of pork options and sandwiches they offered that were not pork was very limited. Most of the sandwiches that my husband tried to order they just kept telling him they didn’t have it or weren’t selling those ones (not sure why, they didn’t really explain just stated they didn’t have it.) My husband ordered me this coffee drink (it was suppose to be a version of mocha boba) and oh man it tasted horrible. It was very watered down and just did not have good flavor at all. Wasn’t a fan of the texture that the boba was either. Would I go back here for a sandwich (if I was In the area sure why not) however it probably wouldn’t be my first choice.

The grilled pork bonnie is one of the best bond me sandwiches I’ve had in San Diego hands down. I also like their Thai tea wasn’t too sweet. I was able to easily access the menu online and calling my order for pickup

I just came to store today to buy a bread. There was one bread left on the shelf. I told a employee that I would like to buy a bread, and she told me that she wanted to save that bread for a potential customer who was not even there yet or when the potential customer would come. She said that was a rule. I have to wait for a new batch of bread. Do they understand the rule “first come, first serve? what a bad service in this store.

After giving this place another try. i have yo say it was much better than my first experience. The meats actually had salts this time and I actually had pate in my sandwich this time.

This place actually is much cheaper than it competition around now so I’ll give its lack luster bread a pass. basically it doesn’t have much taste and the bread had no crunch as if it needed more time in the toaster. The time around i grabbed a mango smoothie and i can just say their smoothies are pretty good.

i try it again sometime in the future to see its consistency. Hopefully jt continues to improve.

Im very disappointed. things looks right but are just off…

the sandwich is huge…but taste bland like no salt and there was the smallest sliver of pate. the Vietnamese coffee tastes good, but is 90% ice.

if this place wants to stay in business…it better step its game up. there are like a bunch of other shops that way better in terms of taste and costs less. You might as well go to Cali Baguette Express if you’re in this area. they don’t have pate, but their sandwichs taste better than these

So far I love this place! I ordered (on Door Dash) the iced coffee (crushed ice) and the ice was not melted by the time it came to my house. It was perfect. The “coffee” is pretty thick and sweet. Pretty much dessert to me! Very yummy. Also got the #87 Ham, Bacon, Egg, Cheese CR. It was really good. I love the roll. It’s fresh and a tiny bit chewy. Doesn’t fall apart with the heat and ingredients. It was all good.
And wow, the chicken pâté chaud was a delightful surprise! I took one bite with the intention of just getting a pic. But like an animal w/ no restraint, I just kept eating and eating it! Haha! The pastry melted in my mouth and the savory filling was really good. I know I am going to be reordering this again and again!
The prices are also great. (See pic) Even when ordered for delivery. Can’t wait to try the other sandwiches!

Sadly, this franchise location is not as good as the original Little Saigon locations in Orange County that I’ve bought from since 2000. Attended the grand opening at 8am. Waited inline nearly 4 hours, and was told upon checkout that the free gifts were all given out. Ordered three #4 Grilled Chicken and two #5 Grilled Pork bahn mi sandwiches, plus a Cafe Sua Da. The sandwiches and iced coffee were very tasty as expected, however the portions of meat are less than at the OC locations. Given the high prices, the sandwiches are not a great bargain with the small amount of meat inside.
