First off the service is amazing, everyone is on hustle mode. Stopped in for a quick lunch & tried the King burrito, omg it was huge & packed full of meat. I like the single serve size of chips to go along with the delicious salsa. Too bad I was working because they have a nice bar setup

I was impressed. Service was friendly, fast, and efficient. I tried the Mexican Enchiladas (with shredded chicken). I loved the sauce–kind of a more tomatoey mole. I thought the refried beans were above average! I ordered a “regular” margarita but got a giant one. 🙂 It was OK. Pretty typical. Chips and salsa were good. Definitely going back to try other items. The street tacos looked really amazing.

It has been a while. The menu and prices have not changed since our last visit. The food is even better than I remember. The sauces and salsas! Excellent! The owner visited with us for a few minutes. Regarding the prices, the owner said that he has really worked to keep the prices down, although there may be some changes with the new menu. He said there will be some new meals on the menu in the near future too. Very nice guy. It is obvious that he takes a lot of pride in his establishment and sincerely appreciates his customers.

Another Authentic Mexican restaurant, serving enchiladas with properly made red sauce.
I always enjoy meeting the owners of these small restaurants. She came by our table to check on us and I appreciated that. I was eager to complement her on the restaurant’s food and find out more about the restaurant. She explained that as of about 10 months ago she took ownership of the building. New menu, new staff, new restaurant. The owner renamed the restaurant Puerto del Sol. Maintaining the themed named relationship to Port of Catoosa.
The food and service were very good. The salsa passed scrutiny with (as usual) the hot being my favorite. The plates are larges and loaded. They have to be loaded, if they expect to say in business feeding the hungry workers from the port; likely their largest customer base. Enchiladas and tacos packed with well-seasoned beef and chicken. The beans were perfectly smooth and creamy in texture.

My uncle and I came here for dinner, and this restaurant has to be some of the best Mexican food I’ve had. Sonya was our waiter, and the service was amazing! I had the Pollo Loco (ordered without tomatoes and lettuce), and the grilled chicken they have is incredibly great. Their rice is seasoned very nice and the refried beans are good too. Overall, this place is amazing!
