Food: 3/5
I had the two-meat plate with two sides. I chose brisket and pulled pork for the meats, with macaroni and potato salad as the sides. The macaroni and potato salad were nothing extraordinary—fairly standard, as expected.

As for the meats, the pulled pork was tender and moist but lacked juiciness. The brisket, unfortunately, was a bit of a letdown—it was slightly dry and not as tender or juicy as I’d hoped. The flavor was somewhat there, but the texture just didn’t deliver.

Service: 4/5
Service was average. The waitress was kind and patient, which I appreciated, but nothing particularly stood out.

Atmosphere: 4/5
I liked the layout and setup of the place. However, it was a bit too dark—improved lighting would really help enhance the ambiance.

Would I recommend it?
I’d recommend trying it once. It’s worth a visit, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for a return trip.

I stopped by on a whim, and I’m so glad I did. We were a party of 4 and we ordered three meats and three sides, including brisket, pulled pork, pork ribs, corn bread, Mac and cheese, and collard greens. The flavor of everything was excellent, playing well together and even better with the provided sauces. What really stood out was the brisket, the service, and the fact that despite being right off the highway it was a relaxed atmpsphere where we felt we could relax and enjoy good food. I will gladly eat here again soon!

This is a great place to eat! Good amount of food, great flavor, plenty of seating. My biggest problem is location, which I know they might not have a choice in.

I came here for the second time on the 26th. There were five of us- my daughter, mom, and two friends. My mom is mobility limited, and currently I am as well, and one of my friends. We had a scooter and crutches. It was extremely difficult for the three of us to get in because the handicapped parking was on the opposite side of the building and it was raining quite hard.

Other than the parking problem, everything was great! I would definitely recommend this place for food, just keep in mind parking if you’re bringing people who have limited mobility!

Wife and I stopped in the first time for lunch to go. We got the 2&2 deal:two meats and two sides. We also got a spicy sausage and cornbread. We chose brisket, pork, Mac&cheese and baked beans. Everything was cooked nearly to perfection, perhaps a bit dry . The meat was fairly bland and relied on the sauce for flavor and it was okay. Wife found the sauce, sausage and the beans to be too spicy and she didn’t enjoy them because of it. The beans were unique and very good as was the cornbread, the M&C typical. This was four meals worth of food because we got extra meat.

I think we should have gone with the sandwiches and will try those another time.
If you are COVID conscious, there wasn’t a staff mask in sight.

this week we got bbq here, over $60.00, we used to love this place, when hubby brought it home, there was WAY smaller portions, there was gravy on the mashed potatoes, which I really enjoyed when they would put the gravy in a separate container. The greens were great! The meat was dry. Its crazy how they used to have good servings and now its half of what they used too. Disappointed for sure, but will try again. I know the economy is rough.

By far my favorite BBQ restaurant! Their food is delicious, pit master Austin does a fabulous job making perfect meat everyday. Consistency is key and the flavor and texture is always on point. Tina is always so much fun to chat with while she’s putting together our food, her friendly personality is very welcoming. The monroe location has more seating and is better for bigger groups but all locations are great.

Being from the South, we appreciate good BBQ which is few and far between up here. I was pleasently suprised to find this spot on a whim, and we were not dissapointed. At first glance the prices seemed kinda high, but once I saw how big the meat portions are, you realize where the money went. We got the brisket-topped baked potato and a brisket sandwich. Both were delicious, and the brisket had the right amount of smoke and moisture. Great job J&L. We’ll be back to sample that pulled pork next 😉

Tasty, juicy meat. The best side dishes are: Coleslaw and potato salad. We ordered the dish that serves four people, which consists of four types of meat and four different side dishes. The rib-eye and the brisket are the best.

All right, WHERES THE COOK! The food is so good, I wanna slap the tart outta them. I mean I’ve been here for over three years and have been seeking a place that bbq like back south. There was not one side or sauce that was not pleasant. I had the sliced chicken with Mac n cheese, baked beans and cornbread (honey cinnamon butter spread). The baked bean had tons of meat in it. The Mac n cheese and baked beans portions are very respectable. The cornbread is……I don’t know how to describe it where it’ll make sense. The brisket was also amazing. Ohhh and the most amazing part was the greeting of the adorable lady behind the counter. Love this place!!!!!
