My wife and I have been dying to try this place. We purchased a local flavor deal at the beginning of the year and were finally able to use it. So here is a recap of our takeout.
– We ordered online and it said 20-25 minutes. We chose to order ahead about 35 minutes out. They called us and said it would be closer to an hour for a quesadilla and chips/meat cheese dip.
– The associate didn’t want to take out local flavor deal. We finally talked to the manager and the manager said the associate was in the wrong.
– I have had better quesadillas from taco bell.
– Not sure if the dip actually had beef in it like they said. Wasn’t that good.
And it definitely wouldn’t have been worth the face value of 22 dollars.
We will not be going back.

This place is awesome! The owners have created a welcoming atmosphere. The menu is varied and the food is delicious! Both times I’ve been there we had great service and mouthwatering food! Reasonable prices, too!

As a Texan, loved the tacos (ordered The Sampler) and salsa!!! The Tres Leches cake was more like Dos Leches, lacking in caramel or cajeta. It was still good though. Would have liked some strawberries or blackberries. Will definitely be coming back soon!

This place was great. The food was very good, extremely flavorful. Plus they had Glass Animals playing on the stereo system. 5 stars! Could have been 6 stars if we were able to sit at the bar… The lunch/dinner menu is great, but the brunch is also super tasty. 10 out of 10 for the breakfast hash with brisket. Ask for the homemade hot sauce to kick it up a level.

Combination of Mexican & BBQ! I didn’t try the Mexican menu but I enjoyed the brisket. Meat here is King! There was no sauces to distract from the flavor of the meat. I ordered chopped brisket platter which comes with 3 sides. My son had cornbread, double Mac and cheese while I enjoyed double potato salad and cole slaw. A few perks…BYOB and Sunday Brunch. Service is okay yet staff is knowledgeable. I gave my feedback to a woman – not sure if owner or manager. Hopefully it was well received as I wish them well!

Found this place accidentally. What a wonderful surprise! Ordered a few items, everything was seasoned beautifully with the right herbs and spices. The presentation of the food way appealing and the service was attentive.
We are definitely going back to this hidden gem.

Everything we had was really good – a bit too salty though. We try to watch salt having high BP and felt most dishes didn’t need nearly as much salt.
However, everything was fresh, from the chips and guacamole, to the tacos and beans & rice it seemed all house made. They even had veggie options for my husband and daughter who are vegetarians.
The service was great too and restaurant was clean. We really liked this El Toro and hope they will stick around (and cut back on the salt). Oh and it’s BYOB!
Definitely worth a visit. We will be back. You will not be disappointed.

The biggest complaint was no salsa & chips while waiting and the fact you had to request salsa for entrees, all of which were very dry. The burrito was big and beautiful with the enchilada sauce on it, thank goodness, but was still very dry. The nachos were a generous amount, very tasty, bur also got very dry fast. The salad was very good with pulled pork on it. The 3 Taco combo was very generous with meats but served with the very little tortillas to make tacos, be more generous with tortillas or a pricey Taco dinner. Again lots of salsa would have been a great improvement (when requested got a little plastic container, one per request). A liked the meats, but did not feel like a Mexican restaurant I was hoping to enjoy.
