I went here last night for the first time with my family (group of 7). Our server was the best server we have had in years!! I didn’t catch her name, but someone in our group thought they heard that it was Liv(?) Everyone had a great time and the food was fantastic! We had the walleye, chicken strips, wet burrito, and appetizers. Highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back again!!

We went in to Wayside later in the evening just for a drink after dinner and to play pool. Brittany did great as a bartender and the servers that were cleaning up were very nice. We were well taken care of.

Tonight was our 2nd time going in the last week. The first time food was amazing we got the walleye, chicken bacon ranch fries, chicken wrap and a basket of tenders. Our service the first time was okay we give her credit as she was the only one maintaining the bar and tables this was Sunday. Today we go back service was crap! Waited 10mins to get drinks 20mins to get our order taken our waitress was too busy talking to other coworkers and a diffrent table before putting our order in. I sat there for 10plus mins without a drink (I only had water) for 20 mins there were 12 tables left dirty and full of food plates and what not. Ordered a burrito no refried beans it came with refried beans. We truly felt like we were just an inconvenience then a paying costumer. There was one waitress there that was truly busting her butt she was the only one running around taking orders and cleaning off tables (we did tell her what a great job she was doing, we noticed her). She did not have one break when we were there but our waitress was too busy socializing then worrying about paying customers.
Pictures are the chicken bacon ranch fries and one of many of the dirty tables left for 20mins. Customers walking in couldn’t even sit at a table they had to wait for someone to acknowledge them and clean off the table while they were sitting there…. Not sure we will ever go back

New to the area, drove by this place a few time finally had a chance to stop in. So glad we did. We’ve been to several places in Montague and Whitehall during asparagus season, hands down this is a contender for best in town. The perch definitely holds the gold medal.
Stop in say hi so some of the friendliest bartenders.

Horrible service and food. 40 minute wait and rude service. Waitress took 15 minutes before even approaching our table. Another 20 to get coffee. Another 15 to take order. Highly do not recommend this place that has gone through 3+ owners in the last 10 years.

I really wanted to love this place. We go to church on Saturday evening, and it’s close to church. We were hoping to find a “regular “ place where the food was good and prices reasonable. Sadly, our experience was awful. More than 15 minutes before anyone even noticed us, and it was not busy. Almost an hour and a half before food started arriving. Mine was cold and average at best (nachos). Walleye dinner terribly over cooked. They did bring out a second walleye dinner, but it was too late to eat it. I called ahead to make sure I could watch the a Kentucky Derby. They said of course, they have several TVs onsite and we were welcome to watch. Arrived to find there were no batteries for the remotes. They did go get batteries, but then nobody seemed to know how to get a channel loaded on the TVs. Finally got it just as the race was starting. Several other issues, but this is enough. Probably won’t be back.
