Reviews
Location:
Getting into Aquia Harbour was a bit unclear at first. We used the guest entrance, mentioned we were heading to the clubhouse, and were let in without issue. The drive to the clubhouse is a bit of a trek, winding through the community with several turns, taking about 10–12 minutes. Once there, however, it’s a pleasant spot with a nice balcony offering views of the golf course and surrounding trees, especially if the weather’s nice.
Atmosphere:
The clubhouse has a simple, open layout with lots of natural light. It’s exactly what you’d expect from a golf course, casual and relaxed, perfect for lunch.
Service:
We arrived around noon on a Friday and were the only ones there, which was a little concerning at first, but we received excellent service. Our server was friendly and attentive, checking in frequently, though she didn’t seem overly enthusiastic. Still, no complaints—everything came out quickly and as ordered.
Food:
My wife had the Philly cheesesteak, I had the Joey’s Chicken Wrap, both served with onion rings (which all of which our server recommended). The Philly was packed with generous portions of beef and had good flavor, while the wrap was well-balanced with chicken, lettuce, cheese, and ranch. The onion rings were crispy with a perfect coating and paired nicely with ranch. Overall, we enjoyed both selections.
Overall:
While the drive to the clubhouse might not be ideal for everyone, it’s worth it for the quality, reasonable prices, and variety on offer. With plenty of non-chain options around, this place definitely stands out as a good alternative for a solid lunch. Whether you’re local or just passing through, it’s worth a visit.
