I would say “came on a bad day” but I’ve ordered food from here a handful of times now, and felt like the quality has gotten worse after each visit. I’m reading all the 5 star reviews—like how?
The food wasn’t just bad, but also their customer service. $11 for a dry burrito, $2.75 per taco that was flavorless, and their carnitas was way overcooked, tough to consume bc bits and pieces were hard as a rock.
Quality of food wasn’t poor, but let’s not get started on their customer service. After ordering, I told my partner to cancel our order and go elsewhere, bc the cashier lady was being extremely difficult (my partner is fluent in Spanish, and is Mexican), and made it tough to communicate with bc she kept acting like she couldn’t understand us. It was frustrating, but even more-so after getting home after a long day and then having to pick at your food bc biting into rock hard pieces of extra fried crunchy pork.
Def won’t be coming back, Don Tacos over Don Jose for me.

By far the best tacos I’ve had out here. I tried 6 different meats and each one was superb.
Asada, Pastor, Birria, Lengua, Cabeza, and a Quesabirria. All cooked to juicy and flavorful perfection. Nothing was dry.
Portion size was excellent for the price of each taco.
The different salsas just added to the taste and value of the food.

Taqueria Don Jose was a truck but now is a brick & mortar sit down restaurant. I’ve tried the carnitas, carne asada and Al pastor tacos. I liked the carnitas and Al pastor best.

The prices are very low for how large the portions are. The vegetarian options are really good. I like the breakfast burrito with no meat, the cheese enchiladas, or a veggie burrito. They don’t serve coffee but you can get it at the gas station nextdoor.

We loved the food truck SO was VERY EXCITED Restaurant OPENED. Staff was behind counter I asked about low carb options and lady working counter was able to suggest tasty foods. Overall highly recommend. Will go back again and again.
