We had been driving all day and my fiancee wanted seafood when we got to town. Unfortunately, seemed like everywhere was closed or about to be closed when I looked up seafood. Our back up was chicken wings and that’s when this place popped up. Seafood and chicken!
The food was delicious. I saw online someone say the okra was good so I got that with the catfish and chicken wings. The okra here is in my top spot tied with a BBQ joint in Tucson. The fish was great too!
We also got the fried green tomatoes with were fantastic and reminded us of when we lived in Alabama.
For the amount of food you get the prices are fantastic.
Would definitely go back again but we aren’t in town that long… Or maybe we will anyway.
Oh and the lady at the front was very nice and helpful! Gave us some extra sauces and what not.

This is our first time and won’t be the last. Cooked to order and generous portions. We all got catfish except the wife, she decided on the Chicken Philly. My fried okra was great and a large portion. Hit my fish and strips with hot sauce. Mother in law got the 3 pc. catfish and somehow finished it.
This isn’t a fast food place and the wait was worth it. Old restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. If plastic silverware and styrofoam plates turn you off, this is not the place for you. Drink station in the dining room for as many refills as you want.
2 strips, 1 fish, 2 sides, bread, and drink for $11.99 was a bargain. You won’t leave hungry for sure and they have a big menu. Reminds me a little of Sharks but tasted better.

I don’t have enough good things to say about this place. The food is outstanding. It’s cooked fresh and the flavors are amazing. I always get the Philly cheesesteak, onion rings and corn nuggets when I go and it always taste superb. I don’t know how they prepare their food but you will not be disappointed. I believe I ate there at least 4 out of 7 days straight last week. They staff was nice and made you comfortable. Even being copper toned, I was welcomed and felt comfortable .Food is always hot. If you don’t like fries I highly recommend the onion rings with extra lemon pepper seasoning.

HORRIBLE!!!! I ordered a 2pc Catfish fillet with Mac and cheese and fries. The fish was gummy (ew) and not seasoned well. The mac and cheese was literally spoiled! ( mind you when I spoke with them they expressed I’m not the only guest that called about the mac and cheese) I also ordered a 5pc chicken nugget meal for my 2 yr old. She only got 4 nuggets, and when I asked for some type of juice I was told they only had coke and mountain dew. So she settled for a bottle water. When I called to simply tell them the mac and cheese was spoiled the lady was rude! She kept cutting me off when I tried to speak. I wasn’t looking for a refund or more food. Just wanted them to know they were selling SPOILED food. A different women took over the call, she was very nice. I will NEVER spend my hard earned money in this place again.

Five stars to the Mixed Grill with lamb and chicken alone! Honestly I was incredibly nervous about trying this place and had my reservations. It just has a cringy feel on the outside but it always has, even when it was a Captain Ds and others before it. BUT MAN IT WAS DELICIOUS! The outside is still pretty lacking and the inside has an odd atmosphere, but man, the prices, quantity, and flavor is worth it and the food comes in to-go containers so you can always take it home if atmosphere is a big deal for your experience. Bonus there is a drive thru! Me and a friend ate inside and we were the only ones there for lunch. The hush puppies are REALLY good and full of corn and onions which I love, plus seasoned well. The okra wasn’t my favorite in town, but it definitely wasn’t the worst either, same with the corn nuggets. The fried shrimp was decent, sort of on the same page with the okra and corn nuggets, but man, the mixed rice grill with lamb and chicken- AWESOME. For $10.99 you get a large container of seasoned yellow rice with grilled peppers, onions and tender strips of grilled lamb and chicken. There’s a small strip of lettuce and tomatoes and a cup of what tasted like a Cajun lemon-pepper cream sauce inside and do what ya want, but I recommend pouring the sauce on it all, putting the lid back on and shaking it all together- BOMB. I will definitely be back to try some others I’ve heard good things about such as the fried catfish, grilled shrimp and the Philly.

If I want some Fish, this is where I’m going. Fresh, hot, and delicious. My hubbie and kids love the chicken wings and strips. Enough food to eat later. Excellent service. The new owner has definitely turned this place around from the parking lot to the kitchen!!!!!!

The inside atmostphere does not compare to the tremendous food. The rice dishes are great with huge portions. The building needs remodeling, organized better, cleaner bathrooms, and thorough cleaning. It’s killing their business of delivering great food… they could triple their business overnight.

The gizzards looked so good, and they were hot. So I took a bite to cool one down, and what i saw messed me up. They were also hard to chew like rubber texture. The liver was too hard as well. But pretty in color.
I asked for a refund, received it only after hearing the managerr in the back asking if we ate any of it. He was worried about the wrong thing, in my opinion. 2 stars cause it all wasn’t bad, but the boldness of management took me. I’m also reporting to state to help revisit food preparations

The food is incredible; I went with the Mixed Rice Dinner Plate and Fried Green Tomatoes. The staff are incredibly nice and patient. I will definitely put this towards the top of the food options for future visits to Hot Springs.
