Great authentic Thai food, better that 90% of the places we’ve tried in Vancouver, went there 3 times over the last few weeks and everything we tried was excellent

So delicious! I got something “king” I saw it had ginger so I ordered it lol. Forget what it was called but it was basically a stirfry, didn’t disappoint on the ginger, super yummy and came with rice, a samosa and spring roll. The Thai iced was amazing as well, it’s sweet and creamy. I definitely wanna go back!

I have traveled in Thailand, so I admit that my standards are very high for Thai food. I stopped in for lunch and found the ambiance of the place restful and very comfortable in the back patio under shade cloth and large umbrellas. The waiter was friendly and efficient. I got the Tom Kha Gai soup which was an excellent blend of perfectly-cooked vegetables, coconut milk, and plenty of Thai basil. I also got the Pad Ped stir fry, which was delicious, though the flavorings were very similar to the soup. My mistake for not trying something with very different ingredients. The two dishes were enough food for two meals. Si, I am lucky and have a meal for tomorrow! It came to over 500 pesos, which was rather steep for a bowl or soup, a main course, and a Thai iced tea, but I think they do not expect people to order two dishes. Anyway, everything was first rate quality and delicious. I will go back and try a couple of other dishes. Solid 4 stars on the food.

I want to give this place a better rating, but the speed of service would have to improve dramatically for me to do so.
We went for lunch and there was only 1 other table occupied when we arrived. We ordered two lunch specials, and the wait was very long just to get food ordered, but even longer to have the food served. I do realize that things move a bit slower in Ajicic, but I found it to be unacceptably slow. The tables that came after us also seemed a bit annoyed at the lack of responsive service, which was unfortunately because the staff were actually quite pleasant.
The food tasted quite good as well, but I would not return if the service did not improve. Also, the dessert was overcooked and the mango would have been better served natural, instead of being cooked. I had just been in Thailand three months prior and ate mango sticky rice pretty much every day, and the mango was never cooked. I offer these small suggestions in hopes that management will see that small changes can make a big difference, especially when the food is already quite tasty!

We were really disappointed. My combo was supposed to have chicken pad Thai but I think they forgot the chicken as I only found one extremely small piece and a fee small chunks. My wife’s curry was similar. I think she’s found three or four very small pieces. Also, the curry was very runny, almost like water. The service was really, really slow. Support, I hate writing bad reviews.

This is the best authentic Thai food that you will find Lakeside. The owners and chef are from Thailand and their menu truly reflects the country’s culinary heritage. They are very accommodating and will prepare any dish to the level of spiciness and heat that you prefer. They also have a full bar and great Margaritas! We thoroughly enjoyed an appetizer of Thai Spring Rolls, and the Basil Chicken, as well as the Drunken Noodles, Cashew Chicken and Shrimp Satay for entrees. We will be back!

Service was prompt and efficient. Food was a little bit slow coming out of the kitchen because I understand they prepare everything fresh when you order, nothing pre-cooked. I really like that. My Vietnamese egg rolls were awesome. We ordered the drunken Noodle chicken platter and it was very good. I would not hesitate to return .

Food was extremely wonderful and a good place for someone who has a gluten intolerance! I had the yellow curry And my fiancé had the red curry. I had the best Thai tea I’ve had in my life! Both were amazing. That atmosphere was very cozy. Very cool inside. The only thing that I wish was a little bit better is the service. I just wish they checked in a little bit more but other than that it was absolutely perfect.

I have not eaten in Pian’s restaurant for several years. His new location and his cooking is better than ever. We ate Pad Thai, red curry, tom yom, various rolls, and beverages. Everything excellent. I can’t recommend more highly any restaurant. Pian’s is the best and getting better.
