This is my second review on this restaurant but the first on this location. The Avon location just opened and I was so pleased by my experience. The food was excellent. I had the avocado piada again and it was delicious. The Piada was even better than I remembered the wrap type shell is better than a wrap because it isn’t as soft and soggy. It has a nice texture that holds up well with the ingredients inside. You walk up to the counter and they make it as you stand there which I like because I was able to say easy on the this or that. However, the ingredients were well balanced with the avocados cut fresh right in front of you. I tried the pasta this time and it was so flavorful. I had the carbonara pasta and added grilled chicken for like an additional $3.00. It was so creamy and the fresh spinach and tomato’s held up great when I heated it up later. They had a long line because they just opened but it was so worth the wait. Give them a try you won’t be disappointed.

While I did really enjoy my entree, it was a little disappointing that my protein primarily consisted of whatever crumbs were in the bowl that they dumped into my carbonara.. and not an actual measured amount. I think there were two pieces of chicken? Definitely not worth the $3 add on.. or the $15 cost of the entire entree.

We spent a considerable amount to order some food here and when we opened the pasta bowl it had a live fly walking around in the pasta, not only did we see that, there were fly eggs on the spinach. So disappointing and utterly disgusting. Beware if you get food from them.

First of all, I want to be very clear. The food here is absolutely amazing. I love it and I would eat it much more often if the other side of things was fixed.

This is a reoccurring issue I have had with this location since I started eating here. The employees make great food, but either have absolutely zero social skills or absolutely hate interacting with people. They never deviate from the script, they have trouble appearing human while they communicate, and everything you say outside of responding to their “what protein would you like/would you like everything on it” is met with blank stares or a vibe that they really wish you would just shut up and move along.

This most recent experience occurred today at around 445 (im sure yall could figure out who i was, i dont care). The lady that made my food just seemed like she was incredibly annoyed that I wasn’t completely ready to go with my order the second I stepped up to the counter. Then, the dude checking me out acted like I was clinically insane for clarifying that I would get bag with my order and then stared at me awkwardly as I grabbed it, expecting him to say thank you, or bye, or something. I genuinely don’t know how to describe it. It’s bizarre. And it’s happened with this crew and other crews that are here (I live down the corner and eat here 1-2x a month).

I hate to be that guy, but whoever runs this place needs to understand that talking to the employees here is like pulling teeth. The food is great but I can get similar quality food at a million different places around town, and those people at least pretend to be happy to serve me. I would love to be a more loyal customer, but I literally dread interacting with most people that I have to talk to here.

To recap :
Food = great
Customer service = meh
Employees = they really hate talking to you

I stopped by this Piada location in Carmel with my daughter while waiting for a Walgreens prescription. We usually go to the Piada at Keystone at the Crossing, so I expected the same level of service. As soon as we walked in, no one greeted us. The staff was talking among themselves and didn’t acknowledge us at all.

When we finally placed our order, one of the young men said to give them a minute. I told him I wanted fresh noodles because the food that was already out looked like it had been sitting for a while. The food station did not look clean or organized. It was messy, and the noodles looked old.

Instead of making new noodles, he added fresh ones on top of the old ones, leaving some hanging over the side of the pan. My daughter politely asked if he could remove the noodles that were hanging and touching the counter, and the worker gave her a bad attitude as if we had asked for something unreasonable.

Overall, the experience was disappointing. The customer service was poor, the professionalism was lacking, and the sanitation was unacceptable. I would not recommend this location.

Lots of carry out from this location and this will probably be the last. 15 minutes later than pickup time and kale Caesar had no kale and a few sad pieces of romaine. Total lack of quality and waste of money.

I’ve order takeout in a group a few times. The food is solid for the price. However, usually at least item in a large order is incorrect or skipped. This is likely easier if you order in, or less food. A friend really likes the protein bowl.

Update 10/17/24
I’ve been a loyal customer of Piada, but I’m extremely disappointed with their service recently. This is now the third time in a row that my order has either been missing items or simply not ready when I arrive for pickup. I’m left waiting and dealing with incomplete meals. It’s frustrating and makes me reconsider coming back. I hope Piada can fix these issues soon, but after three strikes, it’s hard to stay positive.

We ordered online for pickup and had to wait 15 minutes before the order was ready. In addition, we had missing items, so we had to come back to pick up the missing items. The server was apologetic and worked to correct the issue.

The staff here were so nice when we said it was our first time! The girl behind the counter walked us through all the options and gave us some recommendations. I got the avocado chopped salad which was delicious and the perfect size!
