The food is good. The menu seems a little small when compared to other Thai resturants I have been to. I think this helps them do what they do well. At times the service as a sit down is slow because they have one person handling drinks, table service and take out. We continue to go here because despite some slow service the food is always good.

Everything was amazing! We were stopping through town and given the recommendation to visit Zaap … THE BEST RECOMMENDATION! The food was so fresh, there were big portions, and there were so many options. The service was amazing, so friendly, nice, and accommodating. Definitely a must if you’re a foodie, like Thai food, are stopping through town, or just want a great meal!

Terrible Thai food, and a complete rip off for well over $100 worth of food. Don’t believe their menu, or online ordering system. For instance a half of a duck is half an old overcooked and reheated duck breast. Just distgusting and would recommend anywhere but here situation! No where near authentic food, and the lazy owners who live directly above the restaurant clearly can’t respond to a complaint before someone makes a bad review. I originally complained directly to the staff and manager, and took the following photos of proof, prior to placing this review. After no response for weeks, I’m happy to share our experience. Soft sloppy overcooked duck, neither $30 portion consisting of half a duck and in some kind of old reheated sauce, oily soup/sauce with completely uncooked vegetables, uncooked onions, carrots, and every vegetable in every dish, paid extra for sticky rice, which is a grossly prepared bit of nothing in a home sandwich bag, and it just gets worse from there. Another fake Skowhegan rip off restaurant that should maybe meet or talk to anyone who actually makes authentic Thai food, cuz this is just bad.

We tried 6 appetizers. All but the chicken satay were excellent! (the chicken was way overcooked dry and tough) We had spring rolls, crab rangoon, fried oysters, shrimp tempura, steamed pork dumplings. All the sauces that came with these were excellent. Brand new server training doing really well. Had excellent service. Decorations were a little hokey but good restaurant

Will never order from this place again. We used to love it years ago under the previous owner but things have definitely changed. Completely tasteless. The meat (pork) was dried rubber. The sauce was a generic pseudo-polynesian brown glop like you’d get at an “asian” restaurant.(A phenomenon you tend to find in American small towns, unfortunately.) I’ve had better Thai food from the frozen section in the supermarket. Complete waste of money- couldn’t eat it. Shocking.

Their green curry is delicious! A treat for the taste buds. Our waitress was so nice; very attentive and patient with all of our questions. We had a lovely time here, and we will definitely will be back in the bear future.

Greasy slop. No chicken, completely burnt noodles, thick grease sauce NOT pad Thai sauce, the only flavor was burnt. I paid $20!!!!!!! Last time I got the same thing there was 4 small quarter sized chunks of chicken and when I messaged them about it they completely brushed it off. I deeply miss the other Thai restaurant was 10000000 times better.

This is my go-to spot most Friday nights! The curry is especially amazing, and if you’ve never had fried banana, then you have to order the Banana Balls with Honey, they are delicious and come with ice cream and whipped cream, what more could you need?

TL;DR- Be very specific, DO NOT ask for less ice!

Went to Zaap again today for lunch. I hadn’t been to skowhegen in a bit so it had been a while. My wife and inlaws hadn’t been before so I was excited to show them one of my favorite thai places. Unfortunately they were not as pleased as I had been in the past. Took 10+minutes to get water and we were the only customers there. No big deal. We order our food and the waitress was not very helpful. Questions didn’t have answers and we were never prompted to give them our desired spice level. Which lead to all of our food being as bland as you could imagine. Not the worse meal I’ve had but we live and learn. I probably wouldn’t have edited my previous review if it wasn’t for the treatment we received when we ordered boba to go on our way back home. We paid over $17 for two boba teas (bubble teas) , one of which we asked for less ice. We didn’t realized that mean we would receive a partial filled cup of boba. And when I asked the cashier about it she said boba is expensive and seemed to have a “tough luck” attitude about it. I told her I would have been willing to pay extra for a filled cup of tea if that’s what they wanted to do. She replied “I can do that next time!”. This just seems like such an unnecessary way to do business. Personally I’ve never received these results when asking for boba, ice tea or ice coffee with less ice. If I’m paying close to $20 for 2 beverages I would think there wouldn’t be an issue.
If you do end up going to Zaap make sure you are very specific when your ordering (food or drink) and know that there “bubble tea” is worth it’s weight in gold. Act accordingly and best wishes!!!

**PREVIOUS REVIEW WAS 5 STARS*** “Best restaurant in Skow-Vegas. Worth every penny. I’d recommend the pineapple fried rice.”

So disappointed. When they first opened we had no complaints. Then they increased their prices and decreased their serving sizes. Every time we have gone has been worse than the last, and we won’t be going back again after we were given ice cold crab rangoons and tomato soup soaked orange chicken in our take out tonight. Horrible food.
