AJ’s Subs N’ Sweets is a dream come true. Inspired by a beloved hometown sub shop that once became a local landmark, Angie always hoped to bring something just as special back to her community. When that shop closed, it left a hole in the hearts of many. With faith and determination, she reopened the sub shop — and added a sweet shop, too. Now a true labor of love, AJ’s is her way of creating a new landmark in Summerville, GA. She hopes you’ll stop by and enjoy this little piece of heaven — our happy place!

First the good. The bread they use is amazing, and staff was pleasant. Beyond that, meh. To little meat to justify anywhere close to the price (spent over $25 for two 6 inch subs with simple bag of chips and what amounts to a small-medium drink). We used to own restaurants similar to this concept, and we couldn’t justify that price point. Can’t afford a 6 inch? They sell a 3 inch sub! Never seen that before. I know, probably for kids…but it is an option I guess if you want to try it. We love to try new restaurants as this town has good places to eat but not a lot of choices, especially for lunch. Was hoping for the best in this place but left disappointed. Though we’re unlikely to return, we do wish them luck.

I’ve ordered from here twice now. The bread is great, homemade sauces are amazing, especially the sweet onion. Meatball sub was good, would be nice if it was toasted though. The Italian sub was great! However, I got the grilled chicken sub yesterday. Terrible. It can’t be real chicken. It reminded me of tuna or cat food. I through half of it away. Brunswick stew and potato soup were great. A few little improvements and it’s easily 5 stars.

My steak sub was pretty good, but the Brunswick stew was delicious. You can get a bowl for $5.30. Wished they had bigger bowls!!

Everyone is always yelling to support local businesses and this is a great one to support. Food is great and service was too. People complain about the price but you will pay the same and more going to Subway.

I ordered the ultimate salad…. OMG!!!! I am horrible about eating a salad to go, right away. I was able to choose all my toppings to that salad. Holy crap it was good!!!! The meat and cheese?! Then the toppings?! Idk….. It hit the spot in ways chain sub places do not. Give it a try. I’m from Nashville TN….. If this place was at hm?!?!? Oh my goodness! 03/31….Just tried the roast beef sub on white, with Swiss cheese I asked for baked, with mayo, tomatoes, onions, blk olives, banana peppers and no pun intended, but! The sub was !!!! bananas!!!!! The bread is crazy fresh and soft in the most exilant way….again, ” cheft’s kiss!!!” Any time I’m passing through?!?!? I’ll be there. Not the Subway.
