I popped in here for a quick look around and I was impressed. Raven’s Grill is a cool little hangout spot. I love the interior decor and the music selection was great. They even have a jukebox so you can pick your own tunes.
The beer list was fairly priced, I only got one beer and paid like 4 dollars. They are cash only, but they have a ATM inside for your convenience. The guy behind the bar was friendly and helpful as well.
They had ample seating, a cozy vibe, and a good selection of board games. They even had some bags of chips and other snacks behind the counter. This is a great hangout spot to come with friends for a chill night.

The relief of friendly conversation at a bar with a great culture was immediate and reliable starting to frequent the Raven. I am grateful for the good service and historical authenticity of the iconic hang out.

Probably my favorite bar in the city. Nothing fancy in the least but you always feel welcome as soon as you step in. Different bar tenders = different playlists during the day which makes for good music conversations. I equate it to hanging out at a friend’s basement. Comfortable, dimly lit and absolutely chill.

Small bar, no tv, no music, no drafts, cash only… And they will tell you cash only after opening the beer in front of you ♀️. But it was quiet and cozy. Good to hang out there for 1 or 2 hour.

One of my favorite bars in DC. It’s the definition of a dive bar. They only take cash but there’s an ATM. Always have a great time sitting at the booths and drinking a vodka soda while yapping.

Cash only hidden gem in Mt. Pleasant. This is definitely not the place to try and order a cocktail, enjoy their cheap beers instead. Seating is entirely smallish booths or at the bar so don’t bring a party of more than 4. I love that the music is kept to an appropriate volume and all the board games they have available. There is an ATM located inside

Classic old school bar. Grab a beer or whiskey. Want a cocktail that is artistic and fussed over? Go somewhere else hipster.

One of the last dives in dc so if you’re feeling like you wanna escape all the prefab gentrification that is new dc for a taste of the old head to Mt Pleasant for this spot.
Can get a bit hipster-y cuz the prices are dirt cheap. Overall its a great experience. Dim lighting and torn up seats tell you its a real dive. Staff is good. Alcohol selection is somewhat limited but it’ll get you where you wanna go. Fills up fast on weekends.
Cash only. They don’t sell food so if you’re hungry go to Purple Patch down the street or any of the other places to eat on that block before. Trust, you’ll need it.
