When we arrived we were almost got hit by a car speeding through the parking lot. We went inside and sat down at a table. A person came to our table to get us drinks and when I asked if they had hot chocolate they couldn’t understand what we we’re saying so she walked away.
The waitress arrived to take our order in a timely manner. We ordered French toast, pancakes, an omelet, and Cheese burger with French fries and a cup of broccoli soup.
The broccoli soup looked like snot, and tasted as terrible. My sons French toast was flat but did have a decent flavor, the pancakes was fluffy but lacked in flavor. My eldest son’s cheese burger was the worst burger we have ever had. I rarely spit my food out but today I did spit the burger into my napkin. The French fries were cold and tasted terrible, the ketchup and honey mustard helped. The coleslaw they say that comes with it is literally one bite. The omelet was so small for the size they advertise it to be.
As for the service, she was very friendly but she messed up my order, forgot the honey mustard and never came back to get us drink refills, we had to go find her to ask for a refill. She gave us the bill when she dropped the food off before asking if we wanted anything else or a dessert.
For three people the bill was under $30 but now we know why.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. In my 11 year old words “the customers are all old with no taste buds, and the food was just terrible”

When my husband & I was in Manitowoc for 8 months, this was one of our favorite breakfast place to go. Really affordable, clean, friendly, & fast service family owned restaurant. You find any seat and sit yourself and the waiters will quickly welcome you with a hot beverage to drink and take your order if you’re ready. Seats filled up fast around 10:30am-12pm. Highly encouraged to go early if you can. Been to other breakfast restaurants but they don’t beat Golden Flame’s good services & their passion to make your day. If you’re in town looking for a breakfast place, I highly recommend this lovely little family restaurant.

I eat here 2-3 a week for my fav breakfast. Until lately. Consistency and accuracy are a common issue here. Most days it’s heaven, then there’s today, it’s all over cooked, there’s items missing, and I’m left wondering what the horse’s name was that they got this chicken fried steak from. I just want consistent quality. So know that you may get amazing food, or swine feed. It all depends. Wish there was a better option nearby. Any place that doesn’t strive for the best for their customers doesn’t deserve their customers anyway.

Great little diner that’s been around forever. They food is good and the service is fast and friendly. Lots to choose from on the menu and breakfast all day. I got the gyro skillet and it was delicious. I have had the dumpling soup and it’s great too. Portion sizes are generous and prices are reasonable. The restaurant was busy on a Sunday morning but they still gave our group good service. Seating was a little crowded, but to be expected at such a small but busy place. Coffee refills were constantly offered, and no one ran out or had to ask for more.
