At Smokehouse, we’re all about bold flavor, real smoke, and bringing people together over unforgettable meals. As the team behind Sidelines Sports Eatery, we’ve always had a passion for great food and a welcoming atmosphere. But the idea for Smokehouse 734 sparked when one of our own team members turned out to be incredibly skilled at BBQ and meat smoking—we knew we had to build something around that talent. We started with a foundation of Kansas City-style barbecue, but we didn’t stop there. While smoked meats are at the heart of what we do, our menu is designed to please a wide range of tastes. You’ll find juicy steaks (because let’s be honest—BBQ and steaks just belong together), fresh seafood for variety, and yes, even pizza.

My husband has had the ribs first. Once the plate was set in front of him, he prepared to pull the bone and it seemed to have the meet melt off the bone. And her really enjoy the sauce. (Same sauce on the brisket sandwich & nachos-sweet and perfect spices. Although, I do like a little heat added sometimes.) He’s also has had the wings special with a limited special teriyaki sauce, a pepperoni pizza & a steak all have been very tasty.
We have been seated in the bar & main restaurant. Also, they have a banquet room available for special occasions. The booths in the bar & restaurant seating are large & can comfortably sit 6 and possibly more.
And so sar, the greetings & wait staff have been great. Engaging and sometimes helpful when I am undecided on my choice. As I really can find so many more oprions to try.
The food was quite delicious. We started off with an order of onion rings, and smoked brisket cheese dip, and both were excellent. I ordered the smoked brisket and it was a generous portion with large sides of Mac n cheese, and BBQ baked beans. It was all a delight to savor. The cornbread on the side was wonderful, just the right amount of sweetness and not too dry. My son ordered the brisket tacos, and one of my daughters ordered the grilled shrimp on skewers. They both raved about their meal. Needless to say, we found a new favorite place to eat in Toledo.
I enjoy this place a lot. The menu has great options and food has always been great, for me. Highly recommend for a casual meal and some great burgers and BBQ.
The service was subpar from the start and the food came out cold, sloppily thrown together, and clearly not made in-house. Everything tasted like it came straight from a supplier such as Sysco or Gordon, yet the prices were sky-high.
The pulled chicken nachos were an absolute joke. The chips and cheese tasted like something from a gas station, and the chicken had a strange metallic, dirty flavor. The chopped salad was limp and flavorless, not even saved by the watery ranch or the mountain of salt and pepper I added.
The brisket was floppy, gray, and completely void of smoke, bark, or seasoning. The so-called “famous” smoked meatloaf sandwich arrived cold on a crusty, dry bun, slopped onto a tray with zero care. I didn’t even want to pick it up. The sides were somehow worse. The potato salad and coleslaw tasted awful, and I genuinely wish I could forget how they tasted.
It physically hurt to pay around $60 for food this bad, especially when every table around us was complaining too. One table told their server the beans tasted straight from a can and asked to leave early. That about sums it up.
There is nothing smoky about Smokehouse 419, unless you count the smoke they’re blowing with their name. This place is a total embarrassment. Save yourself the time, money, and disappointment, and eat literally anywhere else.
The queso was also really really good but we had to send it back because it wasn’t even warm and half the cheese was solid still. I got the BBQ ramen and the chili and both were really good.
They have small growing pains and I think this place can easily become 5 stars. But it’s missing some of the love when it comes to the cooking of the food.
The last point I want to bring up is the fact I find it a tad weird that a restaurant in the first week of being open didn’t have a manager/owner or anyone coming around asking how things were. I would think they would want to catch the issues but apparently that’s not the case.
Potato salad, mac and cheese were great. I thought the cornbread wouldnt be good like most bbq places, but it was soft and sweet, and the butter you get with it sets it off. Huge portions, plenty to take home.
Service was excellent. Our bills got mixed up but we worked it out.
This restaurant is new so they have to work out a few kinks, but me and my family were pleased and will be back for sure.
