There’s a solid variety of dishes to choose from. I’d recommend sticking with the butter chicken, chili chicken, Hakka fried rice, and vegetarian noodles — those were the standouts for me. Some of the dish names aren’t totally accurate (aside from the butter chicken and noodles), but honestly that’s not a big deal. The beauty of a buffet-style restaurant is being able to choose what you enjoy and skip what you don’t.
The owner and chef, Zulfi, came by our table a few times to check on us, brought over fresh naan bread, and even offered masala tea at the end of the meal. He’s incredibly kind and hospitable. Anima, our server, was also very warm and attentive.
They’ve been open for several months now, and I genuinely wish them well. I really hope more people in the neighbourhood give this Indian and Nepali buffet in Roncesvalles a try.
Dinner is $20, lunch is $17, and they also offer an à la carte menu if buffet dining isn’t your thing. Overall, a solid, budget-friendly option for the area.
The food is flavourful yet not overpowering. We had the evening buffet – the variety (including meat options) for the price was amazing!! Service was great too. I could feel the food and service comes from the hearts of those who work here ❤️
The food tasted great and, unlike many Indian or Nepali places that tend to go heavy on unnecessary spices, everything here felt well balanced. We felt great after the meal, which says a lot.
Delicious food, thoughtful service, and we’ll definitely be visiting again.
Not many places in Toronto where you can get such a high quality selection of Indian/Nepali food for the prices they’re offering right now!
14.99 for lunch and 17.99 for dinner with made too order Naan and spectacular Butter Chicken + Goat Curry and many other dishes at a variety of spice levels.
Everything from Pekora starters to Ice Cream and Gulab Jamun to finish.
It brings me all the way back to more than a decade ago when you could find such great value downtown.
If you’re in the area and enjoy this type of cuisine at all. You’re making a horrible mistake not coming here!
Service was fast and friendly, the place was spotless and the naan was hot and buttery. Even with a delectable mango Lassi my total was only $25 after tax.
I’ll definitely be back.
Is it value for money? Absolutely. But it’s not just about the price…the flavors are worth every penny, and I’d gladly pay more for the incredible taste they offer.
What truly sets this place apart is their approach to service. They live by the saying, “family is everything,” and it shows. Instead of a typical professional service, they provide a warm, home-like experience that feels personal and genuine. That’s what I loved the most. Highly recommended!
If you prefer quality food and hospitable service over the alternative, go here instead of that place down the street on Roncesvalles.
Frankly, Michelin should have given a bib gourmand to Nepal India Curry House.
