The only reason I’m giving two stars is because of our friendly server and the ambiance of this place. The food is hugely overpriced. First of all, the quantity of the food vs its price is so abnormal. Secondly, nothing is spicy at all; even the spicy curry is mild at best. We ordered Chicken, Garlic Naan, and Honey Chilli Appetizer. No dish was extraordinary, unfortunately. If we were paying the normal amount for such a quantity, then it would have been fine, but I’m genuinely disappointed.

Both my wife and I enjoyed a nice lunch. The Indian food was excellent – tasty and not too spicey. My wife had the Honey Chili Fries appetizer and Chicken Sliders entree – both of which she liked. The sliders had the best buns she had in a very long time. I had the lunch special with Papri Chaat appetizer (kind of like a Indian version of a Chinese spring roll) and the Malabar with Lamb. Again, both were excellent and not too spicy.
The decor is well done Indian. The service was excellent with one small mistake – the waiter forgot my wife’s wine and had to be reminded.

We stopped by this restaurant when we were visiting Cooperstown. It did not disappoint. The restaurant is cute and the food is great too. We loved the biryani. Will visit again for sure.

We made our trip to the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum and found this EXCELLENT small restaurant on Main St. We were thrilled to find they were open for lunch and had the Executive Lunch from the menu. The portions were ample –in fact we took the remainder of our lunch back to our hotel and had enough for dinner.
The atmosphere is relaxing and feels familiar yet exotic. The dining area is nicely appointed, the tables beautifully set, and the wait staff were attentive and helpful. The prices are reasonable and well worth it. The meal was savory, aromatic, filling, and beautifully presented. We felt we were unexpectedly having a fine dining experience for lunch. Quite a treat when we were ready to settle for pizza or a sandwich! We highly recommend it.

Been wanting to try this out for a while now and finally got around to it. It was well worth the wait! The food, atmosphere, and service is outstanding. The chicken tikka masala is delicious and I highly recommend the garlic naan bread. My dad had the chicken shahi korma and loved it. Will definitely be eating here again!

The food here is AMAZING. The downside? The service (atleast during my visit on valentines day) is severely lacking. Their wait staff desperately need to work on their customer service, as they do not check on tables whatsoever unless there was a reason (food delivery, bringing drinks over, and expecting us to leave). They took so long that the table of 6 beside us wanted to order dessert but was told they could not because their table had been promised to a upcoming reservation. My table had better luck, but even after ordering dessert, we were forced to wait over a half hour. It took so long that other wait staff checked in on us expecting us to leave and ask for a check because we sat inactive for so long while waiting for the desserts we ordered, a dessert that is very basic there was no reason to take as long as it should. I would hope that on regular days perhaps their service is better, but even during slow times during our visit the wait staff never checked in on us.

Norbu is fantastic! First decor and ambience is comfortable and aligned to the culture. Second, staff are very friendly, helpful and seem to love working there (some other places the staff are just a snarky and grumpy). Best of all is the food! Pakoras are crispy, tasty, and not oily. Oh, the Mango Lassi – home made oh so good.. the cardamom seeds are a hidden touch. I had the chicken special – clay oven baked that was aromatic with all the spices I’d expect. as was my buddies Clay baked fish of the day. And did I forget to say “generous” portions. If you like Indian cuisine come for the experience and visit this in Cooperstown… and note where the entrance is
