The food is delicious. I had Salmon and it was seasoned perfectly. The cornbread was the moist cornbread I’ve had in a long time. It took about 30 minutes for my food but it was worth it. I had nothing bad to say about the food.
The location is a gas station so the atmosphere was lacking but that’s expected. Seating needs help. A couple of uncomfortable bar tables. We sat outside under the pergola. Highly recommend.

Been going here for a few months food is always bussin’ mainly get the same thing but also had there salmon, fish, shrimp, meat loaf, and fried chicken and all of it was great. There mac and cheese is good, there yams is good, rice always good cornbread is great.

This place can COOK! The lady who put my order together was extremely kind and gave the absolute best kinds of vibes. Once I got back to my hotel(I’m here in GA training for work and live in SC), and began to eat, my tastebuds exploded! The cornbread was perfect! The collards are amazing and I love the cabbage in it as well to give it an amazing swing of texture and flavor! The pulled pork was amazing and had the exact right amount of spice and the mac & cheese immediately reminded me of the holidays like a thanksgiving or Christmas side made by mom at home! Absolutely amazing!!! This place is an absolute GEM connected to a convenience store!

A friend recommended this restaurant. Oh my goodness one of the best recommendations we have received. The food is second to none!!! The customer service was great!!! The prices are very reasonable. We will definitely be supporting this restaurant in the future. My wife and I said everything was seasoned to perfection. Just a overall excellent experience!!! Keep doing what you are doing. This place is AWESOME!!!!! There’s not much to say against it. From the time you walk in the door you feel good. The ladies are so nice and so much fun. The food and portions are great! What they say about their cornbread is so true. I’m not one that likes cornbread but I refuse to share mine from here with my hubby. Thank you all at Phat Girls.

It was my fiancé and I first time visiting Savannah Ga., and we wanted to try some of Savannah’s Soul Food before leaving. We googled Soul Food in Savannah Ga. And this restaurant came up. After reading the great reviews we decided on this restaurant. We thought it was a restaurant, but it turned out to be inside of a Chevron gas station so expect the atmosphere to be horrible and you can only get your food to go. I ordered meat loaf, Mac and cheese, collards with cabbage, and cornbread dressing. Once we drove back to Macon Ga. and I tried the food, it was disgusting. The meatloaf had brown gravy, potatoes, and carrots on it which was ok , but I am used to a tomato topping on my meat loaf. The meatloaf wasn’t seasoned, it was tough, and inedible so I threw it away. The Turkey dressing was sweet which was disgusting. I threw it away along with the cornbread that they put on the plate. The only thing that was edible was the Mac and cheese and the collards/ cabbage. They both were just ok. For two plates we paid over 48.00.My fiancé still hasn’t eaten his food. Probably because he tasted mine and didn’t care for it so his food is still in the refrigerator. The great reviews must be from friends and family that are trying to promote the business because I can honestly say… THIS WAS THE WORST SOUL FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD, and it’s over priced. My fiancé and I will look for another soul food restaurant when we visit Savannah because this one should be closed down. The food is beyond horrible.

I must’ve caught them on a bad day. Service reps weren’t that pleasant and to pair with that the food was tasteless. Candied yams was kinda sweet, yellow rice was hard, turkey wings dry and tasteless, greens cabbage mix tasted just spicy with no other flavor overpowering the vegetable itself, mac and cheese was alright. Only positive today is that it looked good.
