Was there on St. Patty’s Day and it was a blast. Fun bartenders and love the old school vibe. Great prices and cold drinks.
Has a nice outdoor area.
Bathrooms are newly renovated. Very nice but too bad they are not vintage looking to match the classic bar.

First time here and I will never return. The bartender acts like she absolutely HATES her job. As people arrive she ignores them as they start placing bets on how long it takes her to notice them. The temperature was so hot inside that no matter how much we wanted to relax and stay, we had to get out as soon as possible. Also, personal opinion, the ceiling made my skin crawl.

A cash bar out of the 70s that hasn’t been updated. Dirty, dated, music not working. The bartender came with a attitude that was angry and embarrassing. Clearly she’d rather talk to her friends than off service and when she did it was an inconvenience. So many great spots in River Falls. This isn’t one of them.

Love the pudding shots here. Did get an expired beer and asked if I could get a replacement but the bartender said it should be fine. Haven’t gotten sick yet!! Make sure you bring cash to this bar, no cards.

I’ve been coming to Mel’s for years! It’s only gotten better with age (the bar, not me lol)! Geno has made the bar a great place to sit & visit with friends. The atmosphere is great & the outdoor patio is wonderful

My boyfriend and I are regulars here and have had nothing but great experiences. The bartenders are friendly and do a great job at keeping our drinks full. We definitely recommend this bar to others. 🙂

There’s a reason they’re empty at night on the weekends. You walk in, bouncer is perched at the wrong end of the bar. (If you can even call him that) I get that the bouncer isn’t there to be friendly, but he was so unpleasant and got annoyed when we kept walking because he wasn’t by the door and we couldn’t tell he even worked there. All the bar flys turn and glare like you’re disturbing their peace. (Not the establishments fault) We like to stop in and do a shot when we’re bar hopping but the lack of greeting from the bartender, and rude “bouncer” had us high tail it out of there. It’s not hard to smile and say hello to people that have money to burn at your small business. Getting two stars because their bathrooms are nice.

Small town vibe, seems to be a pretty good crowd there every time we throw darts. Besides people who don’t know dart etiquette it is pretty great! Bartender is chill, and is very respectful to us as well! Only bad side, is it is an all cash bar.

Went here New Years in the early am while bar hooping….at first bartender seemed great however never warned us they were doing last call. We put $10 in the jukebox and started a game of pool and suddenly were getting told to get the f*** out by the same bartender. When we asked about getting refunded for the money we were told we were screwed.
