I wish I could give Kourosh Restaurant 10 stars.

If you’re looking for truly authentic Persian food, you don’t need to look any further. I came here on a friend’s recommendation and ordered kashk e bademjan, Shirazi salad, beef sultani, and chicken koobideh. Every single dish was outstanding. The flavors were rich, balanced, and deeply nostalgic. They make their own fresh bread in-house, and the moment I tasted it, I was transported back to the breads I used to eat in Iran. It’s honestly some of the best Persian food I’ve had outside of Iran.

While I was dining, I learned about their Saturday and Sunday breakfast buffet. I loved dinner so much that I came back the very next day for breakfast. I was so pleasantly surprised by the traditional spread. They offer kaleh pacheh, haleem, lentils, eggs, sarshir, and so many other classic dishes. It truly felt like a traditional Iranian breakfast table. Every bite brought back memories of home.

Beyond the food, the atmosphere is beautiful. They have music and entertainment, a lovely dining room, and warm, attentive service.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. If you’re craving real Persian cuisine made with heart and authenticity, Kourosh is a must.

Koroush Restaurant was amazing to work with when we hosted our formal for a student run organization at UCLA. Their team was very organized, communicated everything clearly, and made the whole planning process feel easy and stress free. The food was amazing, the environment was really nice, and they had a great dance floor area which made the event more fun. Everything ran smoothly and we really appreciated how supportive and professional they were. I would definitely recommend them for group events.

Top Tier Persian Food in Woodland Hills at an affordable price

Atmosphere: Big & bright tons of seating love the atmosphere here

Appetizers:
1. MAST O KHIAR – Traditional Persian yogurt and cucumber dip that is light and flavorful.
-Best one we have ever had, light sour absolutely a must get

5. HUMMUS- Hummus is a dip or spread made from a cooked, creamy puree of mashed chickpeas blended with tahini, lemon juice and garlic
-Very Unique flavor, thinner then some of the other Hummus we have eaten but a perfect balance when paired with the masto khiar

6. DOLMEH – Cooked grape leaves stuffed with rice and green herbs.
-One of the best in the area definitely get this

Entree:
31. КАВОВ KOOBIDEH BEEF – Two skewers of grilled ground sirloin served with saffron Basmati Rice, grilled tomato and anaheim pepper, served with salad.

-Always our goto choice. Grilled to perfection juicy and seasoned perfectly, with a choice of basmati rice or Sandak Bread.

38. CHICKEN SOLTANI TENDER – Combination of grilled skewer of boneless chicken, tender and ground chicken, tomato and anaheim pepper with Basmati saffron rice and salad.

It was buffet style with limited side dishes and no herbs. The restaurant looks more like a cafeteria, but the food was ok. The DJ and the belly dancer were good. Overall, if you want to go dancing and have fun, it’s a good place, with a limited buffet selection that’s decent.

Generous and delicious portions. Lamb shank so tender and fell off the bone. 10/10 will be back. Great atmosphere too – was quiet on a Saturday night.

My family has heard of Kourosh Restaurant, so we decided to give it a try. We came on a weeknight, and it was pretty empty, which was kinda nice in a way. I love how they serve fresh, warm, complementary bread and butter. The dinner portions are pretty big, and come with lots of rice. The boneless chicken kabob is very good, pretty juicy and tasty. The white fish with sabzi polo (green rice) was very good and well made. We also ordered the gheymeh stew with tahdig. The gheymeh was well made. The tahdig wasn’t so fresh but still okay. Overall a good experience. I’m not sure if they are understaffed or just because it was a random weeknight. I would go again just because the food is very good.
