Perfect breakfast spot. Has your typical American breakfast with Mexican options. Friendly service, surprisingly good drip coffee which is hard to find. Definitely a go to in Galesburg. Friendly staff that have experience, and it shows.

All around great experience which starts when you enter. Smiles greet you into a lively cozy café filled with families of far flung and local flavor.
And the food, delicious of generous portion. Laughter and hugs are definitely on the menu here. Crowds breath in and out with plenty of time for long goodbyes, a Midwest tradition. And more hugs and cookies offered.
If you are lucky the owner is your host and server. Even luckier you may get a hug. She is a icon of the community and would be an asset any. In addition to the three she has around the area.
Stop in, you’ll leave feeling fat and happy.

Delicious food served up quickly! Max and Shirley make sure everyone is taken good care of inside and out of their restaurant as wonderful supporters of Veterans and local service groups. Come for a fabulous meal to support them and come back because your food and visit there was so good!

If you want a great meal, stop by Tres! The owner Shirley is constantly doing something to help the community! We stopped in last night and she was doing another fundraiser! 100% of sales is going to help others!! Oh! Did I mention that their food is outstanding too! Everything we have ever ordered has been outstanding! Tonight we had an assortment of things… Lumpia, tenderloin, sandwich and fries, fried chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans, ground beef, tacos, & Mexican skillet dish. Everyone loved everything!!! And the place was packed with supporters for this fundraising event! I would give her more than five stars if I could… How about 10! The food is outstanding the service is excellent!! They always make you feel welcome!

Excellent service with good food The reason I stop here is that I really enjoy the catfish fillet. They are always large and tasty, and the best I can find.
This restaurant is always busy and has many faithful customers. There’s a reason for that.
They also serve a mean breakfast!
Back again for the catfish fillets
1/21/25 back, yet again, for the catfish fillets!
Here again for the cafish fillets. I eat here at least once a week. For the same thing. The catfish fillets. Yum

We were passing through town and looking for somewhere open at 6am and so glad we found this place! I will say the building is older so it smells a little off when you first walk in but don’t let that detour you from staying. The service was excellent and very attentive and the food arrived promptly and accurately. The waitress was so friendly and awesome about keeps drinks filled and making sure we had everything we needed! We had the tres cafe skillet and the French slam and both were great! The coffee was awesome as well! Perfect cup of diner coffee! Definitely worth the stop and feels great to support a local small business that knows how to treat a customer!

We came to the Tres Cafe, upon recommendation from the hotel manager where we stayed in Galesburg. Our breakfast was delicious & prepared perfectly. I had a build your own Omelet, with American Fries & a side of Corned Beef Hash. My companion had the Country Skillet.
Our lovely server, was Miss Shirley, who is the owner, was very polite, professional, and just a Sweetheart.
If you want a fantastic breakfast, while visiting Galesburg, come to the Tres Cafe!
This restaurant has a real heart, for supporting the local Veterans.

The food was fair. We had a meat skillet and hash and eggs. The meat was good quality. They serve hashbrowns now instead of home fries, a huge downgrade. The apple jelly was old and smelled musty.
Service was friendly, quick, and accurate. We went in early Sunday morning and it wasn’t too busy but, within ten minutes, the place was packed. You get better service if you’re a regular.
There is parking and an entrance on both sides of the building. It was decorated nicely for the holidays and the outside was freshly painted.
Prices are okay and the menu has a good variety without being overwhelming. Breakfast is much better than any other meal.
The interior was a bit worn. Booths have ripped seats, some of them all the way across. The bottles at the table were all dirty, which is concerning.
