Really enjoyed the live music, specifically Zach Jenks and his band Desember, who played the night I was there. Didn’t even know this place existed prior to hearing about the show. Pleasant experience, nice people, staff was friendly, prices were fair, and really bested my expectations for a country dive bar. Would totally go back again to see another band or if I was at Hagg Lake for the day and needed a libation.

The lady who worked the night shift on 7/29/25 has no customer service skills, while waiting in line to cash my ticket with 2 others also waiting and she is playing on her phone, so when i ask her if we can get some service she gets this attitude like she is better then every one else with her nose in the air. All i wanted was to cash my ticket. Lets just say i didnt tip her.

The shorter middle aged or older lady bartender was a lot less than friendly to me and more so to another patron who came in needing to use the bathroom before ordering. It was very unpleasant and they take cash only. If there was a sign, they should definitely make a larger one cause I saw nothing. Then as I left her and what seemed to be a regular customer were laughing about me going the wrong way cause the parking lot is one way. There was no need for that. It was my first and last time going there.

I like this place. It looks like a seedy little joint, but it’s not.
The bar keeps are cool it’s kinda homey inside. Drinks are affordable. It’s clean.
It’s also too bad theres a strip joint across the street.
Kinda makes it look like they have customers that are of questionable character, but is not the case.
Normal every day folks just headed to their watering hole.

This is my go to “hole in the wall”, the bartenders are absolutely amazing!

This is definitely your typical hole-in-the-wall bar, which is my fave! The very first time I ever came here there was a lady on the lottery machine that was up by like two grand and was getting everybody hundred-dollar bills to put in their machines as well.
Definitely a great first impression there, anytime I have been here it’s also very open as far as customers talking amongst each other and the bartender kind of joining in on any laughter or conversation that is had within the bar.
I would say the only reason for even giving this far less than a five-star is because of their “no backpack” rule. With that being said, I also admit very 100% aware of the fact that this is a rule for a reason and a lot of people have probably you know endangered someone or help someone up because of something that was in their backpack. The day that this happened to me, also happened to be the day that I was in a convenience store while it was being robbed and I just needed somewhere to go inside of to feel safe for a minute.

This is my favorite bar to go to. The bartenders are friendly and they can make actual drinks! Been through 3 owners in the 13 years I’ve been a customer. The bartenders are amazing and this place has improved so much! The owners are great people!

This is the kind of bar that makes you understand how a person could leave their kids outside in a hot car with the windows rolled up while you’re in the a/c playing video poker while watching the ice in your Jameson melt drinking a cold beer comforted by the realization that all responsibilities were left at the door and that there are laws prohibiting them from following you in there . Truly a drunk mans embassy. friendly and professional staff. good prices. comfortable feeling place. cheap good food too
