Great new restaurant in Anderson! My wife and I went to Mandolin Bar & Grill for lunch and it was excellent. It was a Tuesday and I had the gyro platter special and it was great. Lots of food, including a side of pasta, all for $10. My wife had the falafel wrap and loved it. Included a fresh salad (she could have chosen fries) that was also great. Again a lot of food for the money. We took food home. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and attentive. Check out Mandolin, you won’t be sorry!

We had the worst service ever. There were only three people working and our server was very inattentive. I ordered a ribeye steak medium rare and I got this thin raw piece of fatty meat. The rice was good but cold. My wife had the shrimp scampi and it was drowning in sauce making it hard to eat. Even the breadsticks were cold and greasy. Until they find better providers and a better staff don’t waste your money here.

The food was presented well and looked like it would be tasty but unfortunately it was far from it. Trout piccata was ok. The sauce was way too lemony for my taste.
The mushrooms in the cheese stuffed mushrooms were not cooked all the way. There was nothing “fresh” about the mozzarella sticks- typical frozen ones that can be purchased at the grocery store.
The crab cakes were a huge disappointment since there was hardly ANY crab in them. Just tiny specs of crab were all I could see upon dissecting one. The sauce on the pasta was weird- supposedly a Parmesan cream sauce of some sort.

Abundant portions of good wholesome food presented in a cozy dining room. I get three meals for the price of one by taking a lot home with me. Live music on Saturday is easy, not interfering with conversation. We were three and a half hours last night, unhurried. Nice sensibility feeling intimate.

Food was awful. Very bad experience. Ordered the mussels over pasta and chicken piccata. The mussels had a very bad taste and the red sauce was not good. The piccata was horrible. Piccata is a white wine butter sauce with LEMON creating a light sauce. What I was served was thick, vinegar tasting (probably from pouring the caper sauce in the dish) and no lemon. When dissatisfaction was voiced the cook came to the table and was rude. He took the meals off our bill but then proceeded to talk about us in the EMPTY restaurant not 10 feet from our table. The first sign we should not have gone here was the near empty restaurant.

The absolute WORST place. We made a reservation at 5 for my daughters graduation dinner and at 5:10 the place still wasn’t opened. No lights on. No one answered the phone. Completely unprofessional and will NEVER be eating here. Thankfully we were able to find another place to eat but this was not the way we wanted to spend her graduation dinner. 0/10!!!!

Nobody home!
We checked the website before we left, to make sure we would arrive during their dinner hours. When we arrived we found signs in the door indicating dining hours from 5:00 pm onward. Since we were there at 5:30 we expected to walk right in. But the door was locked!
We shook the door, knocked, walked around to see if we could find another entrance, and even called the restaurant’s phone number. The message indicated the person could not receive the call. With no other option, we left for another restaurant.
No joy at this place.
