Definitely a cute local spot worth stopping by.
The atmosphere here is inviting and relaxed, exactly the kind of vibe you want when grabbing a coffee to recharge or just hang out. The seating feels very comfy and cozy, with plenty of options to settle into. What stood out to me were the swinging chairs, which not only look cool but make the place feel fun and unique compared to other coffee shops in the area.
As for the drinks, Lizzie’s has a nice selection of coffee and fun specialty options to choose from. The coffee I tried was solid and well-made, definitely something I’d come back for when I’m in the area. It’s the kind of place where you can sip your drink slowly, enjoy the space, and not feel rushed.
One thing I wasn’t as impressed with, though, was the biscotti. It came wrapped and didn’t taste as fresh as the homemade biscotti you find at some other local spots. For a place with such a cozy, community-style atmosphere, I think offering fresh, homemade biscotti or pastries would elevate the experience even more. That said, everything else I noticed—from the setup to the service—was on point.
The staff was friendly and welcoming, which added to the cozy feel of the café. It’s the kind of place where you can come to get a boost of energy, do some work, or just relax and socialize with friends.
Overall, Lizzie’s Place Coffee is a cool little gem on Cox Creek. With its comfy seating (especially those swinging chairs), good drinks, and friendly vibe, it’s definitely worth stopping in. If they ever switch to homemade biscotti or more fresh pastry options, this place could easily become one of the best coffee stops in Florence.
This spot took me by surprise as we stopped in spontaneously on route to work. Knowing nothing about it, we went in for quick caffeine to go.
Vintage furnishings welcome you in warmly like you’re stepping into an old friend’s living room. And they’ve cleverly created several small, cozy spaces throughout a relatively small footprint, making you feel like you could easily go unbothered here for hours.
After a friendly hello from the ladies behind the counter, I ordered two hot chai lattes after giving up on finding it on the menu. I can’t decide if the menu was too small or too crowded for me to find the drink I was looking for, but fortunately they were happy and able to accommodate. Next time, I’ll take my time to study all they have to offer.
While waiting, I perused the sundries and ceramics for sale along the walls: well displayed on shelves front to back, which was a delight.
The drinks arrived with a smile, and the Chai was quite tasty! It was an unusual blend of spices, nice and piping hot, and I greatly enjoyed it.
It’s difficult to pack that much charm into a small space, but they’ve been successful. I look forward to returning to try something to snack on, purchase a hand-made tea cup and take some pics of the warm and inviting space.
Well done!
I had the pumpkin spice blondie with oat milk. The coffee itself is fantastic, but I know now to ask for less sweet . My husband ordered a strawberries and cream Red Bull, and it was delicious!
I love that local artists/vendors have work in the shop. It’s great when the community supports each other!
This is definitely on our favorite coffee shop list. We will be sure to stop by anytime we’re in town. Hopefully, we’ll catch Lizzie there next time!
