I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of my visit. If you are seeking an alternative to the usual dal makhani and paneer dishes, this establishment is an excellent choice. The flavors were exceptionally well-crafted, and each dish offered a unique experience.

We sampled several starters, with the jalebi chaat (savory) being a particular standout. However, the Kachampuli chicken and paneer, as well as the Chandpuri’s mutton shammi, were rather ordinary.

The main courses were the highlight for me, especially the yogurt kofta, immigrant’s chicken curry, and the broccoli makhani. A thoughtful touch was the inclusion of perfectly paired bread selections with each dish, which eliminated the concern of making an unsuitable choice.

I appreciate the concise menu. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was delightful.

I must, however, offer some constructive feedback regarding the beverages. They were quite disappointing, and I cannot honestly present it otherwise. We ordered an espresso martini/maytini, a hot toddy, and a pineapple-based liquor picante, all of which could certainly be improved.

Despite this, I will undoubtedly return for the food.

I went here with some family and friends and I must say I was quite impressed. The ambience is on point. They have mindfully curated fusion menu… for both food and drinks. We ordered the asafoetida sour with yuzu and popcorn … konkan sour , both were quite unique and very tasty.. i also ordered peach and elderflower spritzer but it was bit too sour to my taste.
Their savoury jalebi chaat was lip-smacking and a must try. Kachampuli chilli chicken was good too. But the star is their champagne chicken Tikka. Succulent , flavourful and a must try.
Bacon and kalimpong kulcha was ok..
They also have some unique main course with thoughtfully suggested breads which was impressive.
Their staff is helpful and courteous.
Also I was impressed by their washrooms as they were very clean which is a rarity plus they also had a toilet sanitizer which I have never seen anywhere.

Amaltas is a fine restaurant in GK market. Being here and eating was fun with lots time and space to enjoy. The staff and service both were amazing. They have range of cocktail and mock tails to enjoy. The area near market was fun n superb experience. Do visit and see what best the staff and restaurant offers to you.

This restaurant really has incredible food, creative dishes and expertly executed. Drinks are well crafted, ambience is thoughtful and inviting. And the bathroom is the cleanest I’ve ever seen in India lol

The price is quite high for the area however, so keep that in mind. This is an outstanding meal but not a cheap one

We had never been to this place and the dishes looked very interesting. The location is good and a short flight of steps from the road. The restaurant has been thoughtfully decorated and the seating is easy, though limited.
They have an extensive selection of cocktails and some signature cocktails with quirky additions. While they looked good on screen, we felt that the ones we tried (5) were a bit hit and a miss. We didn’t try the classic cocktails though.
The food is where the restaurant really shines. From the Tibetan chilli bread / bao, to the champagne chicken, Kochampalli chilli chicken, lemon cream prawns, and the Bandel Cheese kebabs (veg), the starters were delightful. The main course of roast mutton and chicken bharta were superb, and so were the lachha parathas and naans.
We didn’t try the savoury dessert but gave their chocolate gur pudding a try and it was fantastic. Overall, the food didn’t disappoint at all.
The service was unobtrusive and quick. None of the orders were missed and everything was delivered smoothly to the table with no fuss.
The food prices are pretty reasonable. The cocktails are slightly overpriced, and you’d do well to order the beers or spirits instead.

They do get their drinks right. We had a Picante and a Negroni. Their fusion spin on the jalebi and chaat is worth trying. The mutton shammi were just okay. Overall, I would recommend visiting this cute bar.

The food is absolutely phenomenal—every dish bursts with rich, authentic flavors that truly showcase the depth of Indian cuisine. Though the menu is relatively small, each item is crafted to perfection, and it’s clear that quality is prioritized over quantity. In fact, this might be one of those rare places where you can close your eyes, pick anything off the menu, and be delighted.

One standout was the soup—they only serve one, but it’s easily the best soup I’ve ever had. The balance of spices and textures was flawless, warming and comforting yet full of complexity.

The service was exceptional as well. The staff was attentive without being intrusive. They refilled water and changed our plates regularly, all without needing to be reminded. You really feel taken care of here.

The atmosphere deserves a mention too—it’s elegant, ambient, and relaxing, perfect for a quiet dinner or a laid-back evening with friends. The décor is tastefully done, creating a warm and inviting space that complements the dining experience.

All in all, Amaltas is a hidden gem. If you’re looking for a place that serves top-notch Indian food with refined presentation and excellent service, this should be high on your list. I’ll definitely be coming back—and bringing more friends along next time.

The ambience was delightful, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere for a family dinner. We ordered the Saffron Paneer Tikka, Lebu and Cream Prawns, Stuffed Gattas, Bathua and Kale Seekh, and a Chilli Garlic Tingmo. For drinks, we opted for the Inkspill and Mango Jalapeño Mojito.

While the food was okay at best, it didn’t quite stand out—a 2.5-3 out of 5 at best. However, the staff’s humility and attentiveness were commendable. The managers personally visiting each table to ensure diners were comfortable added a thoughtful, personal touch to the experience.

Though the space doesn’t accommodate live music, the retro Bollywood remixes playing in the background created a vibrant mood. Overall, it might be a place worth visiting once if you’re looking for a change of scenery and a light setup.

A lovely venue that we discovered today for the first time. Cozy atmosphere, good service and delicious food! It was more than we expected.

Tapas are small plates (that got us full pretty quickly though) of various Indian dishes – all with a modern twist to it. It was a totally new way to experience the local cuisine. We loved it!

They also had some amazing vegan options – there is something for everyone! We would totally recommend to visit them.

I recently decided to try Amaltas, one of the highest-rated restaurants on Zomato, and it certainly lived up to its reputation. The modernized Indian cuisine was exceptional, with flavors that were spot on. It’s been a long time since I’ve had such amazing Desi food. Although the portion sizes were on the smaller side, the quality and taste left me wanting more. Overall, a fantastic dining experience that I would highly recommend.
