Very glad I got to stop by today with my mom; Very friendly service! No wait at all and immediately greeted upon walking in. I want to take a second to shout out Noe! Honestly one of the best customer service interactions I’ve had and he fixed our two Jefe bowls to perfection if I may say (I normally get a second dressing cup of the cilantro lime on the side but didn’t even need it!) Also told us about the new Toro Bowl with the steak and was kind enough to offer a sample to us! We will definitely be back to try it in the future! Steak was very clean and bountiful of flavor. I normally come through the area from work and will add this specific location to my list from now on! Thank you!!!

Let me tell you, Roots showed up and showed out for my family. I live in GA and we had a family emergency in VA. I needed the family in VA to not have to make any decisions about dinner, and they needed healthy choices. I called Roots, explained the situation, they assisted in picking dinner options for the family. They were able to deliver food the same day. Even the driver understood the sensative situation and delivered the food with compasion for the family. The family said the food was amazing and was just what they needed during this challenging time. I highly recommend Roots Natural Kitchen for you healthy choice of food. That are amazing!!!!

I’ve been ordering from Roots since they opened in Fairfax and I used to love it. They had fresh ingredients, always got my online orders correct, and had consistent quality. This time, there was a big dip in quality. They were apparently bought by private equity, so of course the decline is inevitable… Portions are off, many items were missing, including items I paid extra for, and most things are either undercooked (the rice is actually hard) or overcooked. It’s disappointing how dependable the downward spiral is with private equity now.

Food was good tasting, fresh greens, and they can customize it. They didn’t tell me if anything was an extra charge they just asked if I wanted more stuff on it. I got tofu and the mushrooms and I didn’t know the price til I got to the register. I was happy with the variety I had to choose from and the flavor, so I wasn’t worried about the price that much.
The tea dispensers were nearly empty and it looked like it had been sitting in there for a few days and it was lunch hour, so it should’ve been fresh for the day.
I’m glad the staff wears gloves. It’s an extra level of cleanliness, because if they use the same bathrooms as customers, they aren’t clean. The hand soap dispenser was full of hand sanitizer! That doesn’t replace soap! That’s not really hygienic when you need to wash your dirty hands.

Good place for salad bowls, however the online orders sometimes are missing ingredients (usually they forget to add cilantro lime sauce and chipotle tabasco to my el jefe bowl). The app has a discount program so I recommend the app over dining in since there isn’t a ton of parking nearby.

Staff that was closing 5/21 was fantastic. Made my food perfectly and were super friendly. You could tell they love what they do and care about the small details. I get the tango bowl with double beef every time I’m here and they never mess it up. Best place to get a bowl

I frequent this establishment weekly and usually place my orders online in the morning. I received a notification that my order would be ready by 11:03 AM. I arrived a few minutes late, only to find no order in the pickup area and several people waiting for theirs.
While waiting, I noticed a few customers walking in, placing their orders, and being served immediately. By 11:26 AM, after standing there for about 10 minutes and growing late for work, I asked the guy behind the counter about my order, and it turned out it hadn’t even been made.
I asked to cancel my order as I was now late for work. The staff member apologized, citing a large order and being short-staffed. However, his apology seemed very insincere and dismissive of my situation.
If you can’t handle online orders, you shouldn’t offer the service. It’s frustrating to see walk-ins being served promptly while those who order ahead are left waiting for more than 30 minutes. I was late for work and ended up without lunch. This place is highly unreliable if you’re pressed for time—ordering ahead doesn’t guarantee a timely service.

My to-go salad place after trying out multiple different salad restaurants in the area. Fresh ingredients and tasty sauce on a solid price point considering it’s nova, which already beat a lot of other places (looking at you sweetgreens) not to mention they pack it to the top too. Highly recommend if you’ve never tried it before. I usually go for the Mayweather and my friends rave about the El Jefe since they are tolerant of cilantro. There’s limited parking in the front but the Plaza provides parking in the parking lot next to Giants thats a short walk away.

Really enjoyed it. Thought the flavors went well together. My only complaint was the chicken could have tasted a little more fresh. Kids can make their own little bowls for free is great since the bowls are a bit pricey. Will definitely go again sometime.
