I used to love getting a fancy icy coffee drink at Starbucks, and this location is right near me so convenient. Absolutely zero complaints about the staff, but as a person who is immune compromised and wears a mask to public places, I feel leery of returning. I heard that management is forcing their staff to not mask without having some kind of medical reason. Not wanting to get sick, for anyone, is reason enough to mask. I also feel safer and supported as an immune compromised person to see others masking. I don’t expect people to these days, but it always brightens my day and makes me feel a bit safer to see another person masking, including customer service folks. Plus people should be able to make their own decisions about what to wear on their own body and how to keep themselves safer from getting sick.

When I got my coffee through the drive thru, before my night shift my cup was soaking wet, the barista didn’t offer napkins although she was holding the cup as if it were wet. Put it in my cup hold and continued to work. Parked and realized a 1/4 of my drink was gone. Walking into the hospital my cup was still sopping wet. I raised my cup up to investigate when I got into the light and accidentally squeezed the cup to find a big crack in the side of my cup and my coffee was now all over me. Had to throw my drink away because I didn’t have anything to put it in without creating more of a coffee trail then I already did. Took a video of the cup but the review will only upload pictures.

The Avalon location is my favorite location. The customer service is always top notch. I enjoy the occasional messages and smiley faces on my cups too. I went this morning and Tom assisted me with my drink and purchase. He is such a nice person. That location is always super clean too. I was also there the day the Bearista glass cup was released. One customer was a little irate because she waited for hours and the store did not have them. The way the team handled things that morning needs to be recognized, applauded and commended. They handled the situation with grace!! Kudos to the morning Avalon location team!!!!

disappointed and angered to learn that starbucks is not allowing their employees to make basic choices about their personal health– employees are not allowed to mask at work. unfair to immune compromised customers and unfair to to employees.

They cant get it together here. Incredibly long lines make for dangerous boulevard turns and laning. I waited for 12 minutes for a drink once, just to see how long it would take. Today I was in front of the speaker until I said “Hello” anybody????. Definitely ubereats, door dash orders ger preference over walk ins. Its a mess. One time employees outnumbered customers inside FOUR TO ONE, I still had to go to the counter and asked about my drink. This shops motto is “We’re backed-upped”. That’s an understatement. Dunkin and Bean Thru are less that one minute away.

The crew was having a bad day or were understaffed or something but I watched dozens of drinks go out before I went up and asked for mi e. The breakfast sandwiches were fresh and hot but we finished them twenty minutes before we got our coffee. If you see a lot of cars in the drive through note that they will get served before I store or online orders

Unfortunately, Starbucks in Pittsburgh continues to union-bust and violate basic worker’s rights. It is violent to instate policies that don’t allow workers to wear respirators, or to make it difficult to be ‘allowed’ to wear a mask. This is a public health issue for everybody – Starbucks, if you want people to live long enough to keep spending money on you, allow (and encourage) your employees to wear masks.

The Baristas are always kind and I appreciate that I have a coffee shop walking distance from my house. It’s always clean and has a comfortable seating area.

I think this location needs to do better. At least the location is changed on the app to Avalon instead of Bellevue. Not sure if their board inside by the bathrooms has changed yet from Bellevue to Avalon. The last 5 or so times I’ve ordered an iced chocolate shaken almond milk espresso, there’s no way there’s chocolate malt powder in it or they’re cutting corners or improperly trained. I had ordered this drink multiple times months ago when they opened and it was fine. Please refer to the photos. The first photos are of a drink I bought yesterday and the last are of the exact same drink at a different location. See how there are specks of chocolate powder everywhere and the color is much darker? My drink yesterday tasted like plain iced coffee and today it actually tastes like chocolate, the flavor difference is immediately noticeable. It’s only this location that can’t seem to get it right anymore. I spoke to management yesterday and she suggested I order it with extra powder, a different size (I’ve ordered all sizes), or order something different altogether (not helpful). When you work for a brand, the drink should taste the same between stores and between sizes. There has to be consistency. I like this store, but they need to have more training/attention to detail. They could also use a few more staff, for such a large store, I often only usually see 4 or less people working. There are typically 3 people at the tiny Target location and comparatively, this location is on a major commuting road, so expect longer wait times. I think the drive-thru gets priority because ordering ahead is a bit of a nightmare. Add at least 8-10 minutes more to your expected pickup time. At stores where I see around 6 or so people working, everyone is far more cheerful, drinks are made well, and the wait times are short. I’d really love to see this store become a 5 star location and be a stellar addition to the Avalon community. I love the outdoor patio, most of the employees are friendly, and the location is convenient and well set up.

Holy friendly service probably one of the top five I’ve ever been to the girl behind the counter was amazing I went there March 5th around 5:50 and she was so cheerful I just gotten off work drinks came out fast she was very knowledgeable about everything everyone was smiling I highly recommend this! Definitely will be back and they give out pop cups and we’re so happy about it and they weren’t like rolling their eyes like most Starbucks places so definitely check it out! They all need a raise what great service and my drink was so yummy!!
