I have lived in Duluth for almost 20 years. I am within walking distance of Magnolia cottage and for some reason have never eaten here until today. Went with a friend for lunch and we were both amazed. The atmosphere is perfect and the food was unbelievably good. Nice quiet place to catch up with friends. We will definitely be coming back and my husband can’t wait to try it now too.

What a surprise! I discovered this brunch restaurant on Google Maps while searching for a convenient spot to meet up with friends. The food exceeded my expectations. As an Asian who often finds Western food too sweet or salty, I was delighted to find that their desserts were perfectly balanced and their savory dishes were just the right amount, not overpowering. The freshly baked scones were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and peaceful, and the service was impeccable. I couldn’t be happier with this discovery.

This place is sooo cute! Went here for a small birthday celebration with my friends and was met with the nicest waitress who answered all of our questions. The restaurant has a lot of vegan options but only one gluten free option which was a salad but it was super delicious. All my friends thought the food was really tasty and fresh. Only thing is there weren’t many workers so when it started getting busy, service was a bit slow. Friends said they would definitely come again to try the high tea!

My experience here was SUPERB!! You MUST get the scones!! We had the fried green tomato, the cottage burger, the fried chicken burger, the Trio, and the shrimp & grits. We had the french onion soup as a side, but I wish I ordered the bowl size!! I loved the french onion soup as it had so much sweet onion and thick soup!! I will definitely come back for another great experience. The server was super nice and attentive.

I hosted a baby shower at Magnolia Cottage (formerly The Cottage On Main) and they exceeded my expectations by far! The venue is very southern and charming, the food is fantastic, and the service is amazing! The staff are all so helpful and friendly. It’s a wonderful place for events, and I will definitely be back for their brunches.

I highly recommend Magnolia Cottage for an event or to just dine in. I held a Bridal Shower there last Saturday and everything was just beautiful. The special touches they do as far as tablecloths and pretty flowers everywhere give you the perfect canvas and not much is needed as far as decoration. The food is fabulous, and we enjoyed every delicious bite. The staff is so very accommodating and friendly. It was such a wonderful experience, and I would most definitely have another event here. Thank you for helping provide my future daughter in law with such a wonderful shower and memory.

Say no more—so good I had to take some home! The salad dressing was refreshingly tangy, and both the pasta and quiche were perfection. Next time, I’m definitely making a reservation to try the 3-tier dessert set with coffee. ☕ Can’t wait to come back!

I really enjoyed Magnolia Cottage and it is a hidden gem in my eyes. Upon entering you are greeted with so many pretty pieces of china and furniture. It’s well appointed. The table was spread so nicely and the staff is wonderful! We got to meet the new owner, a lovely lady who is also the pastry chef. My favorites food wise were the amazing scones! I want that recipe! It was really delicious! They make their own butter and fruit spread. You can taste the difference. I loved how they presented the cucumber with pimiento and will be borrowing that for an upcoming teatime. The egg salad and chicken salad were good as well. The desserts! There were so many that most of us didn’t taste them all at the time but carried a little box home with the ones we wanted. Lucky for us we got to experience the theme for February which was pink! The pastry chef did a wonderful job! Our servers were excellent and attentive to every request! I loved the china, crisp white restaurant linens and I could go on and on. They serve lunch and also brunch so if you are able to go one day I’m pretty sure you will enjoy the visit. Tell them Sharon sent you!
