The Food: Went with the Pork Katsu Curry, Spicy Yellowtail Roll and the Spicy Tuna Roll. The Katsu was crisp and fried nicely. The curry sauce itself was flavorful and absolutely delicious paired with some rice. The sushi was fresh as well. Everything was perfect.
The Service/Atmosphere: Plenty of seating available inside. Nice and clean restaurant overall. The staff were great as well, everyone was very nice and attentive.
Overall, a 5/5. Absolutely loved it here. Will be back again for sure!
The food came out in a timely manner and the presentation was gorgeous! Everything tasted high quality and amazing and we were very satisfied with our food. We never had to ask for refills because as soon as our cups got close to being low, a member of staff would refill it immediately.
We had a very pleasant time and we are looking forward to coming back again soon!
PRO: I ordered the $15.95 Bento Box lunch special that included shrimp & chicken tempura, salad, miso soup, rice, gyoza, and California rolls. Having never eaten Japanese I was able to experience different flavors and textures. Some of the foods took me outside of my comfort zone and for the most part I was satisfied with this meal. I even attempted to use chopsticks for the first time in my 58 years. They do require practice.
PRO: Everyone, especially my waitress, was absolutely delightful. Employees observed as happy with their work and eager to please this first time customer. My server could see that I was struggling with the chopsticks so she even gave me chopsticks with training wheels on it. LOL
CON: While the overall atmosphere was pleasant, the slightly loud music did not seem appropriate for a Japanese restaurant. That was my only critique.
My family ordered Hamachi as appetizer(missing pic), nabe, sushi regular, and a piece of Toro. Miso soup and salad come with all sushi menus but only salad for Nabe. We started with Hamachi. It’s grilled thoroughly without too much seasoning and it was perfect for my young kids.
Sushi regular came with 8 piece sushi and california rolls. 5 sushis were exquisite and fresh. When you put a piece in your mouth, you will feel the pleasure of its texture and smoothness. The squid, shrimp, and eel were ok. I would recommend just ordering nigiri by piece.
Nabe was awesome. It came in a ceramic pot that keeps it warm through the meal. Tons of veggies and various kinds of seafood – fish, shrimp, scallop, etc. boiled in broth. Very healthy and kids friendly option. Nabe also has noodles, which were my kids’ favorite.
The restaurant has kids friendly utensils, kids plate, and plastic cups for water. They also have plenty of high chairs.
Service was just ok. All servers are too busy to give us enough attention, and my server didn’t even check on us if we need anything or if our meal was ok.
Again – I can’t say it’s the best sushi restaurant in the area. I wouldn’t go here if I can dine out without kids, but it’s certainly one of my go to place for sushi with kids.
The sushi is super fresh and tasty, service is always attentive. Whether it’s a large group or a single diner this place does it right.
Highly recommend!
