Good Boy Bagels is a cozy, dog-friendly breakfast and brunch cafe in Canton that’s become a local favorite for fresh, hand-rolled bagels and creative bagel sandwiches. They bake their bagels from scratch, so they come out hot and with a nice subtle crunch — they don’t even need toasting to shine. One standout is the 40 Gold sandwich, which pairs pit beef, fried eggs, and cheddar horseradish cream cheese in a way that feels both hearty and unique.

Beyond great bagels, the vibe has this warm community feel: there’s dog-themed decor inside, bowls of water and treats out front, and staff will even take your order outside if your pup is with you. The menu also includes pimento-cheese pasta salad, housemade sausage, hash browns, and flavorful spreads like honey Old Bay or scallion cream cheese if you’re building a bagel at home.

Most people seem to enjoy the fresh, flavorful bagels (some locals even say they’re among the best in the area), but as with any place making everything by hand, experiences can vary day-to-day.

Overall: Great stop for a fresh bagel, inventive sandwiches, and a chill neighborhood brunch vibe — especially fun if you’re in Canton and love a bagel that’s a bit different from the usual chain spots.

Bagel sandwiches were delicious. Stopped here for a quick breakfast with my husband. He got a bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel. I had an egg and cheese on a plain bagel. The coffee was pretty bitter. My husband had regular drip coffee and I had a latte. I wouldn’t get the coffee again but I do recommend the bagels. The Cafe was cute snd the staff were friendly.

Coffee, chai and matcha all around. We also enjoyed the breakfast burrito, bacon bagel and the puptown girl. They were all great! Generous toppings and toasted perfectly. A gem!

Goodboy not only has some of the best bagels in baltimore, but the customer experience and atmosphere is so amazing. We fell in love with Goodboy the first time we ever went (you have to get the hashbrown on top of the bagel) and Lauren mad the our experience so sweet we never stopped going there. The food, the coffee, the staff… it’s all amazing!

We actually hosted a private dinner at Goodboy as well and the food they prepared was amazing. They went out of their way to curate a dinner specifically for our liking, using fresh, local produce. They made our evening so magical, I wish I could give them 100/100 stars!

This is one of my favorite places in Baltimore and I tell everyone to go!

We randomly stopped at Good Boy Bagels on our way through town and it was a highlight of our trip. The atmosphere is perfect – cozy, creative, and so cute especially if you’re a dog lover. Every detail appeared to be perfectly thought out, but yet casual. It wasn’t over crowded, the staff was friendly and the bagels and coffee were delicious. I’m very jealous we don’t have this gem where we live.

Truly delicious café with the best, freshest bagels made every day. We had a few of their homemade cream cheese flavors along with their house cured salmon and home made pit beef. Friendly, accommodating service too!

I saw on Good Boy’s Instagram that they had to be unexpectedly closed on a recent weekend, so even though I don’t normally go out for coffee/breakfast on a weekday, I figured it was my civic duty to get over there and support such a lovely neighborhood spot! It’s just so cozy inside, the menu has plenty of options (from basic bagels to unique and yummy sounding sandwiches, plus allll the coffee and tea drinks), and the staff truly seems happy to be there and happy that YOU are there. My french toast latte + egg bagel with brown sugar cinnamon butter were served fast, hot, and delicious! Our neighborhood is so lucky to have Good Boy Bagels.

I visited this morning and nothing but good things to say! The gal who helped me at the front was extremely kind and patient with me as I figured out what I wanted to try. I got a drip coffee and it was a great cup of coffee. No milk or sugar, the black coffee had a great flavor profile. For a bagel I got plain with egg, turkey bacon, and scallion cream cheese. It took a bit to get it, but that just tells me it was made fresh! Delicious. Will be back.

I’ve lived in the area for less than a year and have explored most coffee shops.

Nobody matches the level of product, service, and overall experience of Good Boy Bagels. Fight me!

I grew up in NYC, so I feel qualified to tell you that these are some of the best bagels in Baltimore. The seating area is a bit small but it is so cozy and welcoming and true to its name, lots of dog pictures! The line was a little long when we got there but once we ordered, we didn’t wait long for food. We ordered a bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel with a hash brown and a french toast bagel with peach brown sugar cream cheese (the cream cheese was on special!). The BEC was made fresh and it wasn’t very greasy. The everything bagel was crisp in the outside and doughy on the inside. I do wish it had more everything seasoning on it, but it still had a strong everything seasoning flavor. The hash brown reminded me of a potato latke and it was seasoned so well and was very tasty! The French toast was so delicious! It was not very sweet despite being covered with powdered sugar. If you’ve been thinking about trying their bagels, stop thinking about it and go!
