We ordered the burrata salad, shrimp macarons, lobster pasta, diver scallop symponthy, and crème brûlée everything was delicious. The lobster pasta was a bit too rich for my taste, but my husband loved it. We would absolutely go back and highly recommend it.
We started with the shrimp macarons, which were an amazing opener—unexpected and full of flavor. The calamari was cooked perfectly: tender, never rubbery, and incredibly satisfying. The endive salad, a seasonal item, had a beautifully balanced combination of flavors that felt light yet complex. The hamachi crudo was unlike the usual versions you see everywhere, this one delivered bursts of flavor in every bite—thoughtfully layered and unique. The cioppino is a must-order for any seafood lover, rich and comforting with generous portions of fresh seafood. One standout dish was the soft shell crab pasta. The in-house made tuxedo pasta was something I’ve never seen before, and it paired perfectly with the crab—both visually striking and delicious. The prime bone-in beef short rib was probably the star of the show. It was incredibly tender, falling right off the bone and full of flavor. The multigrain pilaf alongside it was the perfect contrast, adding texture and a satisfying bite.
We ended with a birthday dessert panna cotta and their cheesecake—even though I was completely full, I couldn’t stop eating. That says everything.
The server was attentive throughout the entire dinner and gave exceptional service. Overall, this restaurant delivers an elevated, thoughtful dining experience where flavor, presentation, and quality all shine. A true hidden gem worth seeking out.
We ordered the fresh oysters with grapefruit slush and apples, which were bright, refreshing, and beautifully balanced. The lobster risotto and soft shell crab pasta were standout entrees, rich without being heavy, with clean umami and well-executed seafood flavors.
This place holds a lot of nostalgia for me, and it’s reassuring to see that the quality has only improved. I will absolutely be back.
We had the Chilean Seabass, Shrimp Maracon, Million Dollar Salad, and for dessert Coconut Panna Cotta!
I enjoyed every dish, devouring them with my tasteful surprises to the delights!
The flavor is mild, not overwhelming and yet suttle to my taste buds making my mouth happy to elegance!
Wild Artichoke is truly one of Yorba Linda’s best-kept secrets. Every dish feels like a personal creation from the owner-chef, who sources the freshest ingredients and prepares each plate with incredible care. The flavors are refined yet full of heart — you can tell this is a chef who trained in French cuisine but isn’t afraid to add his own creative twist and Korean soul to it.
The result is a dining experience that’s both elegant and deeply comforting. Every visit feels like a discovery, which is probably why I find myself coming here two or three times a week. Wild Artichoke isn’t just a restaurant — it’s an expression of passion, precision, and pure love for food.
We both started with Salads. I had The Wild Artichoke salad and my wife had the Million Dollar Seaweed Salad. Both were very good. I had the Punttanesca & Arrabiatta Spaghetti. It was very flavorful and the spice was just enough to wake up my senses.
Overall, the food was high quality, the service was great. I have to say that it was an expensive lunch. But, tasty.
We ordered a lot of food for our birthday lunch gathering and we were impressed with the flavors & the presentations of the dish.
Some of the memorable dishes are
grilled artichoke & mozzarella salad- so hearty and loaded with textures from fried mozzarella to bacon bites.
steam mussels- the bleu cheese gave it a little funk and another good layer of flavor on top of the delicious broth.
crab cakes- unlike the usual crab cakes at steakhouses this crab cake is on another level with the beurre blanc sauce!
steak frites lobster risotto- served on sizzling plate- the sauce bubbling, steak cooked just right with perfectly spiced fries!
Cioppino- my first cioppino with fregula & fried soft shell crab- I am a fan!
Oh the compliments doesn’t stop at the cioppino, the SERVICE IS ON ANOTHER LEVEL! So welcoming, so accommodating and attentive! Our server couldn’t be any friendlier and professional at the same time! The staffs or the chef even took the time to make our birthday cake (from another store) extra special and we were all in dumbstruck how their attention to details are to make us felt so welcomed and made our meal extra special!
The owner and staffs attention to details is on the fine dining level- or even better than some of the fine dining restaurants and I can’t wait to dine again at the wild artichoke soon!
Food/Drink- 5 stars
escargot- very solid and good. Their house butter was spectacular
cioppino- excellent flavor and fresh seafood. I really enjoyed all their entrees, tbh
beef short rib- so rich, flavorful, with some complexity. The smoky flavor was a really nice touch. I would recommend sharing it because of how hearty it is
lobster pasta- this was my favorite entree. Complex, rich, and delicious. It tastes better the more I ate it and didn’t get tired of it
Service- 5 stars
All the servers were fantastic and professional. Really enjoyed our time here. Just expect it be an authentic French restaurant (e.g. expect 2-3 hour dinner)
Bottom Line
Lovely dining experience. A wonderful place to enjoy dinner, a celebration or any gettogether.
